Neither case that curious, imo. Two extremely low IQ players, who are probably only in the NBA because they are very tall and you can make a lot of cash even on just a rookie deal.
Length for length's sake.
Contrast with players like Franz, Wendell and Paolo who are smart first, hardworking second and long third.

I think it was Hammond that was asked on a radio show like a year after they got here about trades. He said the players on the team had no trade value, and they would have to make the playoffs to build their value.pepe1991 wrote:basketballRob wrote:He had a bunch of mediocre players when he got here, and they had no value. Let's say they had no value. how is argument for them fact that they "valuelesss assets" got 4 years exstensions by them on quadrupled salary? It literally makes no sense whatsover like most of "pro- Weltman" comments here.
People are just desparate to praise him for something, but because 2017-2021 happened they don't have much to grab to hold.
btw to this point we got one creamy stinki pile of **** for Gordon.
draft prospect who is out of nba
injury prone vet who we could add in free agency
2025 pick that looks like 25-30 lock
And that's like Weltman's second best trade , out of 4 he made

I highly doubt quadrupling salary of players they resigned boosted their value

Well that happens when you overpay a bunch of role players that have hit their absolute ceiling.
The point is that they didn’t trade them before those contracts and were left no other options.
How big is the market for a 4th option on offense with a larger contract? AG landed in the best possible location and Orlando probably got 1/3 the value on him if they just moved him prior to his deal.
Yeah. “Players on the team had no trade value” because you missed the window when it mattered you old fool.
That’s like saying I can’t sell my computer made in 2005 for the same price in 2023 after I spend more money modding it out.
