Fultz, Isaac, Ingles, Moritz, Harris and Goga all combined are 68.5M in expiring deals.

Throw in Anthony and Okeke as RFA's to be and it's 75M in expiring contracts.

Trade deadline could be interesting if the right name is made available. Who that name is? No idea. Would be a team doing a mid-season blow up like we did with Vuc, AG and Fournier.

But Weltman is against making a move to put us over the top. He wants to wait and see if our draft picks will bloom. So trading expiring contracts is not a strategy here. We will continue to do what we've done. Let expirings run out on it's own course and use the money towards extending our players (Fultz, Isaac, WCj, Moritz), and in the future (Franz, Suggs, Cole, Paolo). That is the only place that our big money is going. $75M in cap will only go to our current guys. Small money will be used to supplement our veteran holes (Harris, Lopez, Ingles types).

As perfect as Porzingis was for us, we were complete non-players for his services. Lillard would be amazing here, but no, we're aiming for 2030, lol.

We’re just a young team and we don’t know what we’ve got in guys yet, that’s why it’s hard to know who to move and for whom. Paolo is great, but he has some growth to go until he’s carrying us deep into the playoffs. My guess is we’re probably still 2-3 seasons away from that. In that time any of Fultz/Isaac/Cole/Suggs/Black/Jett could blow up and organically become the 3rd piece to Paolo and Franz. You don’t want to give up Harden and keep Ibaka.

Lillard would be great but not if he’s unhappy. Porzingis used his PO to pick where he went instead of going into FA.

Names are definitely going to come up over the next year or two. We have time.

Bold moves in Magic terms = Little moves in Celtics and Lakers terms.

Don't get your hopes up for any addition of big trades. Our bold moves will be paying Franz and Paolo $225-250M each. Then wonder what else can we do to improve the team now that we don't have money to spend.
