Dwight had his time as a Magician. He was good with it for a while before things took its course. There are times to reflect in the past. To learn from past mistakes and remember the good and the bad experiences. There are times to build your present in order to create its future. Leave the past behind. It's done, it's over. Keep it moving.

He'll be welcomed back into the Magic Hall of Fame when he retires just like Shaq and Penny. And just like them, rightfully so.

That would be perfect for him.

Warriors think other way.

Even though I think he’s kinda childish still I don’t hate him. I just don’t think There’s a reason for it. He’s washed.

He should cut his hair like Fultz did to regain his NBA powers! :)

He's kind of washed at this point. At the same time might not be a bad guy to have in practices as a physical center that our other bigs have to compete against. Goga or MoW are better right now, and hopefully both are still getting better, or at least Goga.

Big bodies for practice are easy to find (in Europe?)...it's his head that makes me hesitant....just hearing him talk about his willingness to play in the Olympics makes me remember his delusions at this point in his life.

Was reading a quote from Jabari Parker who is now playing in Spain saying how he left the NBA because only 10-12 teams are actually trying to win and the rest are tanking. Players like Dwight don't have a job because they are too good and the tanking teams don't want them because it's make them better

The NBA has always been like that - seems like sour grapes from Jabari who washed out of the league.

If the NBA can find spots for Taj Gibson and Tristan Thompson, Dwight Howard is capable of getting a job.. but he is 37 with known back issues and is an iffy locker room guy at best until recently. Teams would rather find out what they have in younger guys who are worse but haven't had the opportunities yet.

If a veteran team had a decent amount of injuries and needed a big man, Dwight would be called on. No need to sign him right now.

US sports in general have obsession with "development" of athletes. It's well oiled machinary of hype.

Whole premise of marketing in USA sports is about selling illusion of bright future to keep potentially "dangerous" group of discouraged fans from drifting away.
Only in US something as dumb as promotion of non-professionals to professionals draws more interest than finals of same sport.
Just think about it for a second. People are more exited about 19 years old who might be new Thabeet than about best product of a year- in nba finals. And that goes back to my initial point. Selling illusion of bright future triumphs over substance and quality.

When i was way younger , i would listen to ESPN radio while study, and 99% of commercials, talking segments & debates were not about current NFL,NBA or baseball champions, but about draft and who is next thing.
Things would change a bit in years when big market team such are Lakers were champions but not by much.
Things would get waaaaaaaay worst when bad team from big market would won some high pick.

it was alway endless search for next shiny toy to blow to a Moon.

I'm complete noob when it comes to NFL but even i remember EVERY SINGLE SHOW TALKING ABOUT " JOHNNY MANZIEL aka Johnny Football". Now i googled him, and it looks like he is some football Hasan Thabeet.

But doesn't matter, as soon as next summer rolled, new shiny toy was found to start endless debates again.

Worst media summer of my life was Lonzo Ball draft. By the way people talked about him, just because he was elected to Lakers, would make you think he is hybrid created in lab and only mixed with DNA of Jordan, Magic, Lebron and Curry.
"Steph with 40 inch vertical in 6'7 body". In reality was " injury prone taller jrue Holiday". Not so sexy. Nevermind, consume, don't ask questions and clap like idiot, because next Lebron is comming next year. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

No. Dwight is too immature and too much of a dodgy locker room presence for a young team like ours.

Yah, i don't want him on the roster...we don't have room for him. Now if he needs a job/money, and he has something to offer, I don't know...i was going to suggest a coaching type of role...but thats probably a bad idea. He's one of the best centers of all time, but he got there off insane athleticism, i am sure he has a deep bag of tricks...I don't know if he has the traits to be a good teacher...of course i don't know that he doesnt either

Don’t want D12 bringing the Zest into our locker room. No time for all that

I really believe Dwight Howard would be motivated to play his heart out for this squad if he returns!
