This is very interesting… crazy bad timing to this smells weird if I can be honest lol
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Why? More money and he becomes a head coach.

Happy for Coach Tibbetts but the timing really sucks.

The only constant in life is change. We'll be just fine. This brings potential and opportunity, not just for the open spot this move makes but also what it could bring to the team as a whole.

Happy for Coach Nate. Congrats!

Good sign when the assistants are getting head coaching gigs.

Idk is it that much more money? Maybe it is because of Ishibia but feel like we could have matched. Now maybe he wanted to be a head coach for the woman’s game which is awesome. It’s more weird timing because this doesn’t happen too often and we have to figure out a new offensive coach a week before season starts. Probably just promote someone

Yes, probably quite a bit more. I'd say he probably makes $100-300k a year as an assistant coach, and this deal is over a million at least since it's the highest paid one and Becky Hammon is making $1 mil a year.. that's a lot more money if you're getting a million more than you make right now.

The offense is already installed so I don't think there's much in the way of like "our team is worse" feelings - most coaches of any sport want their assistants to get promoted. The organization seems big on internal promotions anyway so it'll just be next coach up sort of thing.

Good luck to him. I just hope he doesn’t poach any players.

This is a tough pill to swallow, but I'm happy for Nate. Also, apparently Stotts is available now and we have a slot open. He's a lot older, but there's no doubt he can coach.
