Mac McClung, Daeqwon Plowden and Brandon Williams will get a 75k bonus for their Osceola contract; Queen gets 600k. That's the differnce in "making" the team.

This is a lot of money for Queen. He now will be well over 1M in life career income from playing basketball. And frankly, when the Magic trade a guard, if he plays well, he has a real chance to upgrade further. I would think the Magic would sign K-Harris to a full contract over Queen. It will be really interesting watching these two fight out for the future of the 3rd string SG.

Another point: does this further solidify the idea that the Magic see Howard as a SF?

Becouse he is older. He is not our core piece but if we want to win we need more veterans who saw playoffs. It doesnt have to be Harris but he fits the mold.

Was a fan of Queen's in 2020 as a draft sleeper.

He had a rough life, a rough journey to the NBA and he's already been through a few teams. But this kid doesn't seem to have any quit in him whatsoever.

An interesting pre-draft interview with him. Worth reading even if the player himself wasn't a new Orlando signing.
