I haven’t seen the rankings but it might be accurate. The east is strong this year and we need more data to see where everyone outside of Boston really lands.

In the qualitative, it's 14th.

But NBC/ESPN/TNT does. This is all about the green.

..
Right the first tie breaker could be road wins. If thats a tie then go home wins. If thats a tie then go overall record.

The issue with that is we might get Boston on the road and lose, while BKN gets Bulls and Raptors for example. We tie with them but they went 2-0 on the road while we got screwed and got BOS on the road and lost. Will not be fair.

If we go with overall record so far. Then at that point every game is an in season tournament game but once again not fair, some teams might have had a tough road schedule facing tougher opposition, that will also call for unfairness.

The point differential is pretty fair considering other options. Maybe they can get creative and change it up to I don't know highest fg% or something, but that is unlikely.

The easier games thing is always going to be an issue regardless. Look at the groups. Props to the Lakers for going undefeated but look who they played. Banged up Suns , then Griz, Blazers and Jazz. I would have loved those opponents. You can't avoid that. And no every game wouldn't be a tournament game but every game matters since every game matters anyway since they are reg season games. Again, easier road or tougher road happens regardless. I honestly was throwing out the road/home game thing as a possibility. I much rather just go with overall record as the main tie breaker.

DEN Nuggets Website Recap snippet:

Braun was the only bright spot on Denver's bench. Nuggets reverses got outscored by the Magic's backups, 58-25. Denver also struggled to defend near the rim and allowed 60 points in the painted area. Their defense also surrendered 42 points in the fourth quarter.

"They're one of the best teams in the NBA in terms of living in the paint," said (Nuggets Head Coach) Malone. "So, that's where you need great one-on-one containment and discipline. Who am I guarding? Which way does he like to drive? Know their tendencies. Then, you have to shrink the floor and not leave guys on an island. If you're guarding a great player, I have to make sure that I'm helping you behind that so that ball sees a crowd. And we didn't have enough examples of that tonight."

Imagine a Magic team that is the best in the NBA at anything at all. It's nice.

Last two games we out scored Tor and tied Den in the 3rd. Progress.
