Anyone suggest these players need to stop wearing low top sneakers? Too many ankle injuries!

I don't know, but I am terrified of JI wearing his new brand and having an equipment malfunction. Lonzo Ball used to have to change his shoes every quarter, and some people even think his shoes are the root cause of his injury history.

I suspect that Isaac's clothing line is being run by some drop shipper/white label type company. Hopefully the quality of the shoes he is wearing is up to par...so far so good

In an interview before the season, he mentioned his new shoes were being made by people who used to work at Nike/ Adidas!

Do NBA players wear high tops anymore?

Another impressive win. JI really is a difference maker on D, both we were doing very well on that end in this game when he was on the bench too for the most part. Suggs and Goga were really good and Black had a very solid game. Ingles had some great minutes off the bench and he was crucial in keeping it close in the first half when the others were struggling offensively.

This was a comfortable win for us anyway and largely because we were doing really well on both ends when Black was on the court, sure, he had zero points, but our offense was doing very well in these minutes (117.1), the defence was great (80.6) and he was easily our best Garland defender in this game.

In the Black vs Fultz debate, which we know is coming.

Fultz is on paper the better player while not being the best fit.

Black is the best fit, but for sure not the better player.

Blacks defense in his limited minutes has been no short then stellar. If he ever figures out offense even to Suggs level. Our backcourt will be set for the next 10 years.

The crux of this debate will come down to several things.

1) No matter what happens with Fultz. If he comes back, he has to play well to restore what value he has.

2) Black in order to justify playing Fultz will need to go back to deep 3rd string.

Our offense and defense will suffer as a result as Fultz needs the ball to play his best game. Take it or leave it.

Apparently yesterday was the first time Allen fouled out since he joined the Cavs.

Apparently Suggs is becoming a bit of a trash talker

Its pretty crazy to think we have a better record than the Cavs even though we still have all our picks and a lot of capspace next season while they dont.

Box score thoughts:

Orlando's two studs had not very strong games, the "starting" PG was awful, and the bench was not very solid. So of course Orlando won convincingly. Why? Well:

The Magic won the FG% battle and won the game. Franky the whole of the box score is mediocre except the Cavs FG% numbers.

In the end, it's the result and not the methods. This was a good win.

It doesn't make sense to me to give Fultz minutes as a starter mainly or even largely to restore his trade value. Even if he plays as he did during his best stretches last year, his trade value would still be quite low. I don't see any team giving up much for an expiring contract PG who is injury prone and doesn't shoot 3s.

Realistically speaking. I would love to win the next 2 in Boston. I don't think we will, at best i'm happy with 1-1. Even a close 0-2 wouldn't make me sad.

Then we tie them for home w-l ratio and I can say

"One does not simply walk into and win in Orlando."
