How do you know this?

How does that imply we will still be able to afford Franz?

I am pretty confident that if Franz hit the free agent market today he would be at near max level. Is he a max player today? No. His trajectory tracks at the moment.

Edit : whether or not he is worth max is another story on too many levels. Cap rules what they are and what teams are willing to spend will likely dictate that going forward.

The latest cba has made it nearly impossible to have 3 near max players while fielding a deep bench that isn’t just vet min players. Forget having a competent sixth man or valued replacement level starters. Most of the teams that have those guys won’t in the near future.

If Franz doesn’t make max he will be near max.

Magic couldn’t pay Cade, Paolo, and Franz while still having a real roster elsewhere.

And-1 to several posts above.

Banchero 40M a year, min., starting on his next deal; it will probably come in at 5-years 250M with a chance to accelerate to 300M.
But for F-Wagner, his contract extension is due this off-season. Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and Tyrese Haliburton all got deals starting in the 35-37M range. Short of a horrific injury, it is basically fact now that F-Wagner will get this sort of deal. His extension-deal will certainly be at least 5-years and 200M (but with one year still being paid "only" 7M).

I told my buddy this the other day. Cade I think would be awesome next to Suggs, Franz and Paolo. I would trade what ever they wanted for him( aside from Paolo franz & Suggs of course). I think he can play on and off the ball perfectly to complete them.

I dont think the pistons are even close to considering moving hom but he should be the target if they are.

Franz will not get paid on the same level as Cade or Paolo's.

Franz' deal will look more like DeAndre Ayton's.

Hah, this is my personal opinion of course.

If you look at Franz' contributions, scores 20 ppg below league average ts%, not huge apg or rpg numbers for a slightly, this looks more like Ayton's contributions.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

If he hit ufa then yea he could get a max, which would still likely be less than a 5 year under max from us

If the Magic let Franz get to unrestricted free agency then we messed up big time

Sure once we convince the league to expand our teams' salary cap to 400m

 Clearly I should have used green font or held up a sarcasm sign ..

Point being, your OP was every bit as ridiculous.

No it wasn't, Cade is not on the same level as Ant or Morant
