I miss my early 30's, not that I'm much older now but that's when i finally had some money and with it a little freedom. Enjoy it bc you'll blink twice and you'll be staring at 40.

The 40 and over basketball leagues at the JCC are pretty competitive.

Man we are pretty deep. Interesting to see how 4-5 of those guys will react to not playing most games.

I guess only one of our players has won a championship or has heavy playoffs experience.
Would have liked to see a couple more true vets but I also don't want to get rid of any of our 2nd string guys.

We also have 2 WORLD Champs in the Wagner brothers, so a quarter of our squad now has championship experience.

If Cojo has to play too much then Black was a bad pick.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

Gary from a playoff starter to a 3rd unit yeah not gonna happen

Well, he wasn't a particularly good playoff starter.

The problem and truth to your statement.

Facts.
- We played a guy who still hasn't signed with an NBA team over Black in the playoffs.
- Played a guy who had injury issues all season over Black
- Took Black from the starting lineup to DNP-CD quicker then a drop of a hat

I keep having an issue with the statement of "play to win" when we count on so much youth already. I get it, Blacks primary crime is not being older I guess? Or just not being good.

Convenient that you left out the guy lost his starting job often throughout the year. Black is also entering his second year and so the expectations are higher.

Some pretty obvious things you left out.

I think Tyus felt he could get more minutes in Phoenix to rebuild his value.

Bingo.

Tyus is pretty much guaranteed to play at least 25 MPG there. He wouldn't have had that here without some significant roster shuffling.

And given how many scorers he'll be surrounded by and his ability to take care of the basketball, he should have another good season.

CoJo stinks, but he signed here to be a locker room guy/mentor and with the complete understanding that he is not going to play. He's a minimum salary guy the rest of his career.

Tyus is still in his prime and is trying to make as much money as he can. Once it was clear his market had cratered and he was limited to minimum contract offers, he went to the place where he could seemingly play the most.

Tyus is an average guard and there is no way he wanted to compete for minutes on this team.

C. Joseph was actually perfect for me. A bench coach who has been on a winning team.
