I don’t necessarily care that the guy was extended.

I care that he was drafted as an extremely injured “outside the box” pick that was selected because he wasn’t on the books his rookie season. That’s a terrible reason to pick a guy when you are close to blowing up a team and don’t know which direction to go.

People argue “pick BPA” and then the FO makes a pick not to disturb the waters of a horrible treadmill roster.

Yeah, good teams include players like Chuma in multi-player deals after year 2-3 of evaluation when they never see the floor.

Orlando’s guard rotation that season?

DJ Augustine, Josh Magette, and Markelle Fultz.
Wes Iwundu was getting 18mpg for 52 games.

Weltman has horrible drafting ability outside of #8 and his plans are nonsense. That’s what Chuma Okeke and Mo Bamba tell me about this FO when it comes down to asset management.
