I can see AB carving out a career such as George Hill but with slightly better defense and less of a 3pt percentage

I completely disagree with this. Black was a rookie PG just getting his feet wet, he was a project. While Fultz, despite his flaws, was a decent, reliable backup for the magic. Hence, why Fultz played.

I don't see how this was political. The mere fact that Fultz is no longer on the magic should tell you it wasn't. What is the benefit to play a guy who would likely not be resigned other than he was the best option at the moment?

Again, I am not a fan of Fultz; he was definitely a flawed player, but in comparison to Black he was just better. To say Black deserved mins over Fultz would be a wrong.

Correct. There were plenty of times where AB was nonexistent on the floor, had the deer in the headlights look and we couldn’t afford those moments in the middle of trying to make the PO’s. Fultz was obviously flawed but he was indeed better than Black. This season SHOULD be another story..we’ll see.

Correct, He’s not, and I don’t understand why anyone would think that he is. Hey may eventually be better than Suggs but that isn’t saying much.
But he is a point guard, and a really good one with a very high upside. I think that is what is getting lost in the conversation. People want a particular archetype and when they don't see it they inaccurately say he isn't a point guard. He is, just not the archetype some people want.

He hasn't proven he is really good at anything but defense. Time will tell.

He looked better than I expected. Fultz, Lonzo, Isaac - the top of that draft was hit hard with career derailing injuries.

Yea, Zach Collins was also lottery pick that had massive injuries form that draft as well.

Ball *probably* had botched surgery that took him year longer to recover. He ended up having 2 repairments surgeries and after all that in March, he ended up having cartilage transplant on that same knee.

So 3 surgeries to fix one thing.

Lonzo is a great watch even at a reduced level.
