Come on. There's no need for the office to commit to the day he returns. And Shams reported that it's Thursday or Friday, not the team.

He had no limitations at practice today for the first time, so you see how his body feels tomorrow and decide.

This site is called "RealGM" but sometimes some here react like, well, let's just say not like a GM. If I'm managing the team, I do the same thing and take the cautious approach that they have.

If buying a ticket for you depends on who is playing, fine. Just make the decision when you know.

Serious question: do you think Paolo, Weltman, the medical staff, the players, etc. DON'T want him to play?

Of course not. Big picture. It's not that serious.

Kid gloves is cool if it means he doesn’t start tomorrow BUT he still plays. Not playing your All Star and franchise player at all when he’s cleared to play is stupidity.

You’ve mentioned not starting Paolo a few times, what’s the strategy behind that?

I understand limiting his minutes, but wouldn’t it be better for him to get a proper warmup before playing rather than sitting down and getting cold before coming into the game?

So all in all, looks like it wil have been an 11-week absence for Paolo.

It's funny reading all the doom and gloom posts right after the injury. And we didn't even know Franz would go down as well back then. Credit to coach Mosley and the rest of the players/staff for keeping the ship afloat.

What Mosley has achieved with the players at his disposal is nothing short of a masterclass.

He won't get coty but he probably should, esp if we hit the playoffs and get out of R1.

No strategy, I feel like coming back off this injury they will ease him in and out of the game.

He’s clear to play and he’s healed, if he’s sore after a practice then it shouldn’t have been teased about him coming back this Thursday possibly. That’s the only issue I take with this is the Thursday OR Friday. I go to games regardless of who’s playing but it does add an extra level of excitement and anticipation thinking or hoping you’ll catch the game that your star player comes back from injury for.

Interesting.....fatigue.....it makes you think.....it shouldn't be a correlation but i can't help but feel like paolo having to do everything contributed to the injury.....got me thinking about franz now as he had to put the team on his back and do everything....got to get a handle on that

Paolo allegedly lost 7 pounds a game during college games. It means his body has tendency to drop incredible amount of water out, that itself leads to faster dehydration and by default, makes muscles more prone to strains, that could lead to tears.

By "fatigue", I took it to mean muscle-fatigue, not "tiredness". In that, Banchero is presumably adding some yoga or stretching to his daily work-outs.

When Jordan broke his foot, he came back with a better healthcare plan for his game; I think the blessing in this injury for Banchero is that he will be much more serious about improving his ability to manage the physical damage of being an elite basketball player.

Paolo, Franz, and Mo all apparently hurt themselves on the offensive end creating offense for themselves or teammates. There lies the problem with these big guys putting such pressure and torque on their body, they are to big to strong to heavy to have to do it all - all the time. Thus the need for a capable ball handling combo guard that can get these guys easier baskets.

for all the naysayers, Paolo did say he wanted a PG to lessen his load.
