POLL: Predict the Record: 26 Games Remaining

Post#1 » by Knightro » Thu Feb 13, 2025 8:34 pm

The Magic have 26 games remaining after the all-star break.

14 at home. 12 on the road.

12 against teams under .500. 14 against teams .500 or better.

What do you think the record will be over these final 26 games?

I'll predict a 14-12 finish which will put the Magic at a nice even 41-41 for the season.

Going with 16-10.

Must wins: Washington x3, Toronto x2, Chicago, New Orleans, Charlotte

Swing games: Atlanta x3, Milwaukee, Dallas, Sacramento, Indiana, Clippers, Spurs, Lakers, Warriors

I said 13-13. I want to be more optimistic, but can't shake how bad they have looked.

7-8 play-in game with Miami or Detroit, win that and then play Boston round 1.

I like 15-11 for a 42-40 record. And the 6 seed.

I like 20-6 to finish with the same record as last season.

13-13, yet to see anything that convinces me we'll finish the season above .500

Going 13-13 at best. The way this season has gone, finishing 41-41 is almost a success going intopost season.

I'd imagine Suggs is back after the all-star break and we'll finally get to see the team mostly healthy. The defense should pick back up and keep us in games. Long home stand coming up after a week off. I went with 17-9 but hoping for better. Although if we have more losses it won't hurt my feelings cause the pick will be that much more valuable. Denver struggling after the all-star break would be great too.

If one sees a healthy Magic as a 50-win team, well that's a 61% win rate and an expectation of a 16-10 close-out.
Soft, home-loaded schedule could have that at 17-9. I'm not seeing it, but as above, that is the path that leads to 44 wins.

To get to last year's 47 is a 20-6 run. Not seeing that at all. There is nothing about this team that suggest "77% win rate".

16 - 10 but it’s contingent on us being back mentally after the all-star break.

17+ baby. Optimism in a poll costs me nothing.
