I'm on the fence...21 losses might be a better strategy

Paolo is our biggest guy but isn't a really dominant rebounder (which is fine, he dominates elsewhere). He looks like a PF, but plays like a bully of a SF. I like Goga well enough, but he's not really THE answer long-term, if your aspirations are high.
Why not try this lineup? If nothing else, just shake things up a bit, at least in limited samples, and see if it helps sharpen the vision for our summer needs/priorities. Create some unusual matchup nightmares and double down on our size at unusual positions.
WCJ, Isaac, Paolo, KCP, Franz
Franz IS the best PG on the team and it's not close - even though he's not a PG. WCJ is the most dominant rebounder on the team and the most physical presence defensively (when he tries). Isaac is the best rim-protector. Both Isaac and WCJ are very capable of switching defensively-neither can really be targeted defensively to any great extent. It doesn't matter who you call THE Center, but WCJ had his best performances for the Magic (I think) when he was playing with Bamba so, again, I don't care who gets called Center on the lineup sheet-they could, potentially complete each other as bigs. Paolo would absolutely pulverize every SF in the league with his playing style and physique...he would, even more than usual, draw a tremendous amount of help defenders. If the other guys listed would hit the occasional 3, we'd be in business (ALL of them have had decent 3pt shooting periods in their careers). The mismatches would be incredible and the overall length of the lineup would be out of Space Jam. I don't think Franz (or, obviously, KCP) would be targeted on defense - they can't hold down the elite guards...but no one really can. Franz, of course, isn't a traditional PG, but why couldn't he do the job...I love some warping of traditional roles and positions and we've built that, but we're lacking in other areas, because our two stars, especially Paolo are being asked to be PG's in their spare time and it's too much. Just brainstorming ways to find some combos that might make the most of what we have because I fear some of the ones that are lacking will have negative trade value and, maybe just maybe, could be much more effective in different configurations. We need to make five moves to fix everything from fiscal pressures, to rebounding, to playmaking, to shooting...but that's just not going to happen, so maybe we can make lemonade with some of the lemons we're stuck with.
IF there was some success...
-consider moving KCP - because Suggs is a better KCP...or, even consider moving Suggs, who may have very significant trade value
example...Suggs and Cole to BRK for Claxton and Cam Johnson. I'd rather move KCP, but hate to add picks due to sunk value
-consider trading for Claxton, who can do what Isaac does, but for more than 16mpg, and keep WCJ to add beef next to him
-focus on a killer bench...Moe & TdS are keepers, add some serious 6moy candidate like Simons, CJ, or even Cam Johnson - any of them would get plenty of minutes as first guy off the bench...would be awesome to find some starter-quality guy to embrace the vision of Manu Ginobili (DEFINITELY good enough, but embracing the importance of the "second wave" that dominates)
-I'm not 100% committed to "dumping" Cole...he's expiring next year, so I'd rather move off of some guaranteed long-term money. Cole, above all else, is honest -especially about himself...I wonder if he'd take a Gary Harris deal ($7.5m) which makes his limitations and inconsistencies a lot easier to swallow as this team ascends.

But the general premise of trying something different and letting Franz playmake again I agree with. Experiment with that lineup, try TDS and AB at the 3 more with the starters IDK, something.
