Im just burying myself in work.
Just more things to care about tbh.

I just find this season annoying because it was a Titanic level iceberg I saw coming 3 seasons ago. Not much else to do other than annoy people with a million posts talking about point guards. I gotta stop caring as much.

The only thing that will really disappoint me is if we trade one of Paolo or Franz.

I don't think there's ANY chance that we trade Paolo or Franz unless Paolo asks out...and he might if we don't get it together and give him and Franz the support they (and we, the fans) deserve. I'm not suggesting that Paolo's mom stirred the pot and 2 days later, he's out...but, over time, especially AFTER he signs his max, players and agents who are (rightfully?) fed up and who have the juice to do it - WILL demand changes. He's practically there - ignore him at your own peril, Weltman.

I'll add... Weltman and Mose better handle this tweet-gate very carefully and diplomatically...it's his mother and he's only 22yo. Be careful with your choice of words, tensions are high. The org doesn't answer to her, but this isn't just some random jerk in section 102 spouting off or Lavar Ball commenting on everything whenever there's a mike around...not to mention that her critiques of what she watched with her own eyes that night are spot-on.

She is also not know for being easy on her baby. Most of the time, she has been on record saying people need to be harder on him. So it's just not a black and white thing to say that she is complaining for the sake of it and siding with her kid, although, I would side with my son whom has near zero talent. lol.

Yeah...I don't think she was out of line...she was diplomatic, factual, but has seen enough of this crap to hold it in anymore. I don't blame her - she does have a voice and she's worked him hard his whole life. Accountability is a two-way street...I bet Mike Miller is loving it.

I go to the doctors later today. Sick kid as well, and the usual family drama that seems day to day.

Knightro bud, you especially seemed like you were in month 2 of no sleep post postpartum. Hope all is well.

Eyriq, did you cause any riots with your high heels last night?

VFX, I am temporarily suspending the drinking game. Well never make it.

Skybox, the coffee of choice today is ground dunkin donuts.

Anyone else feel free to check in. I could be here forever typing all the names.

Do I get a vote on suspending the drinking game? How the hell are we supposed to watch this team playing like this without drinking lol

I mean you can play on your own. But we usually have a drinking forum game regarding key phrases. Last night it was so bad I could only suspect that Knightro was blizzed to the point of needing a hospital run or the lack of sleep with a new baby finally got him. (Both?)

It's all in good fun.

*FFBlitzace marked himself safe from The Great Collapse*

Hard to believe it's been 21 years I've been coming here every day. I started at 16 years old, full of piss and vinegar and hot takes. Now I'm 37 and try to be reasonable about everything. I couldn't imagine not coming here every day, it's just part of life. My RealGM t-shirt I got when I was a mod shrunk in the wash (or so I tell myself) and I can't comfortably wear it, but I still keep it as a meaningful memento.

This might be the most collectively upset I can remember this board ever being. I'm upset too, so I can't pretend to be some wise old sage that has transcended such earthly trivialities. It's taking an extreme effort to focus on my blessings in life and not letting basketball dictate my state of mind. When I write it out like that, it sounds ridiculous, but that's just how we are as fans, we can't help it. So I won't tell anyone to not be upset. All I would ask is that we all get along and not fight with each other so that this place can remain a refuge for us. Our friends and family, even someone as close as our spouse, will love us and care about us immensely, but consider this: when it comes to the strong emotions you feel about this team, the people here are among the only people on the planet who truly understand and relate to what you're feeling. So let's always try to be kind to each other, no matter how brain dead we think the other guy's takes are.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I expected season will go this way so its not hurting me much but i worry if we will make adequate decisions going forward. In my opinion we commited to Paolo too soon and now we have to drink the beer we made.

I have a lot of going on at the moment. I just changed two jobs. We plan to have second baby. We start to finish the interior in our first apartment....
All in all they are good changes and i also want Orlando to make good changes.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

A lot of nut houses still have internet access. They also dont really like being called "nut houses".

I am doing alright I reckon. Got laid off at the start of the year and decided to take some time off as I got money in the bank. Opened up my Linkedin and got a bunch of offers. Just sorting through them. Also had an issue with water plugged up in my ear. It is getting better tho.

As far as the Magic are concerned, this appears to be a developmental year. Maybe having Suggs, Franz and Paolo going all out in games with the pressure to win will help them down the road to super stardom. I like the fact that each of them had opportunities to be the Man by themselves for a bit. Just need to surround them with better talent. I still enjoy the games even when losing since it gives AB, TDS and sometimes Jett some development. I don't think Jett is a NBA talent and hopefully the Magic either pick up a better scorer in the draft or via trade. I still enjoy watching the games win or lose since I like to see the development of the young guys which has been poor for AB outside of some great games every once in a while and very disappointed in Jetts ability to make shots and play defense. I think he would make a solid trade add-on.

After taking almost 3 month break, I opened up my linkedin and had two solid job offers within the first 10 days. I took the harder of the two jobs since everyone been telling me it will help build my profile. Not sure if I want to take on Management of other people, Project Management in addition to still being an Engineer, but what the hell. I could always move on if I don't like it. Still get to work out of the house for most of the time. Plus, get to work on projects I am already familiar with from years ago. Did some hiking last week in North Carolina near Boone, NC. Rented a tiny home 17 miles way up the mountains from anything up winding roads. Was much fun and have started new job already. I truly am ready for retirement, but still am solid physically with zero pains and am able to do everything I could do in my 20-30's except much slower.

Still a Magic fan and haven't given up on em.

Yeah, I would say the drinking game is still suspended.

Also Badmofo, enjoy that hiking man. I thought I was going to get close to a PR 5k, and then my knee acted up. I just don't think i can do the wear and tear anymore.

I did the the 26 mile thing in my 20's twice. Haven't run much long distance since, lol. But, I did play in the 40 over league at the JCC for a few years. Some competitive ball there.
