LOL my respect for Paolo increased like tenfold here. I cannot stand Jerome, couldn't before this game. He has been very good this year though, will give him props there.

Being able to start as a guard on the Magic gotta be one of the weakest flexes ever though

I watched the game back, and Jerome was talking to Black, too. If you noticed when Jerome was on the FT line AB walked in front of him and said something. AB also turned up the pressure on him after that.

Not only that Ty would start on us, but would probably be best PG in past 15 years

No, I say it because I don't think they're serious enough. Things have gone right for them this year without too much adversity. They spend way too much time grandstanding and showing off. When a good team really comes at them in the playoffs, I see them crumbling.

Biggest problem for me is, they rely on a 6'2 SG, who's game is to drive to the hoop, as the No. 1 scorer. He just gonna have more 7/23 like games than Giannis, Joker & Co.

Mitchell’s 6’9” wingspan offsets his height. That’s why he had that awesome dunk today.

They didn’t have Mobley (we didn’t have Jalen and Mo). Mobley has been unlocked under Atkinson.
That and let’s not pretend we weren’t fortunate they missed a ton of open 3s.
I think this result was basketball karma for Ty Jerome talking ****.

The East runs through Cleveland and Boston. Only injuries will derail that.

He can have 8 ft wingspan and it wouldn't matter compared to the other named players. Jokic or Giannis got a bad shooting game in 1 out of 10 games. Mitchell gonna have 4 at least over the same span. A random dunk doesn't change that.

I don't talk about this game. Cleveland with Mobley probably gentleman sweeps us 4:1. Sure they are the favs next to Boston because they have 4 all stars and good roleplayer. But Championships are won by the best players and among the favs Cleveland got the worst.

I laughed at Jerome's comment because its not only true, but its such a weak flex.

Guess we cannot expect Orlando to make an offer to him at some point.

He's been good and a Ty/Suggs back court would be great I think. Saying Paolo cant guard him is pretty funny though talking to a guy 7 inches taller than him and dropped 30 on your team.

Jerome is having an AWESOME season, but he absolutely feels like one of those guys who is going to get paid to go start somewhere else and then actually suck as a starter.

A real contender will offer him like $7.5 (reading that Gary?)...a treadmill team or lame FO will "discover" him as their next star and pay him $22m per (like, say KCP) and expect him to be something he's not.

I think he's an easy MLE which is around 9% of the cap, probably worth 10-12%, maybe. Also probably a bad investment

If one has to repeat the jab. Then the jab had no power at all.

Ty looked scared in the face after Paolo really started talking to him, then he proceeded to get clamped up to the tune of 2pts, 2 turnovers and 2 missed free throws the rest of the game.

That’s pretty weak imo and for those of you pining for him are thirsty haha.

He’s not a starter on a contending team and in the playoffs he will get hunted on defense and on offense if he starts making shots, Suggs, AB, Jrue Holiday, D white, Mikal Bridges types will just clamp him up.

Sure we are not contenders this year so we can use him, but if he was our starter the conversation would be “we need to upgrade the Ty Jerome spot so we can have him come off the bench.

He’s not a starter, he’s a front runner who talks and dances/poses after made shots and gets clamped when it matters.

Also, interesting that none of his teammates came to his defense when Paolo was dragging him.

I just think it's funny how even the opposing players know the narrative around this team and how brutal our guard rotation is. This is going to come back to bite us with Paolo if Weltman isn't careful.

Funny what happens when national TV cameras are on you. Nothing more than him posing for a photo. Do it vs Charlotte on a Tuesday and ill be more impressed.

Looks like KCP didn't come through for you! (I didn't see the game, so unsure how his D was)
