JI’s interview didn’t do it for me. I’m ready to end his stay on this team.

Re: Jonathan Isaac sux and he better not be on the team next year!
Isaac was a legit impact player before his injuries. It's no coincidence that every time he has been available (which is a big part of his issue lol), the team has been close to elite on defense. Last year was particularly promising with just how dominant he was in spurts, and shot good enough to keep defenses honest.
This year, he just looked a step slow. Still really good defense but wasn't lock-down and couldn't shoot to save his life.
If moving him could bring back specific pieces, def wouldn't mind shopping him.

Our shooting is terrible yes, but not because of him. At the end of the day this will always be a bad 3pt shooting team if Franz can't figure it out.

I think our coaching staff doesn't know its ass from a hole in the ground, and has no idea how to utilize our players. Once the game starts Mose is essentially a cheerleader, this is no longer up for debate.

Guys. Shooting isn't byproduct of shooting itself.
Isaac neither screens as big well, reads game, offers curling , popping or cutting option as big, can pass, provides no spacing nor moves ball on time. He doesn't even offer vertical spacing.
Isaac on offense hurts offense as much as he helps defense by constantly making wrong decisions. How Mosley tried to fix it? He planted him in corner. As a result teams played variations of 1-3-1 zone because there was no need to even keep eye on him. Only time in past 5 years where one team was punished for doing so were Bucks last year in regular season. Once again, regular season, once again, only time when Isaac feels like high impact player are times when other teams don't try that much, because why would they? It's regular season.
There simply isn't excuse how bad he plays in playoffs. 14 mpg for "defensive specialist" who averages 2 rebounds a game, 0,4 steals and vs Celtics he couldn't even get blocks. Had 1 block whole series. One.
Since he hit 70 games played mark, guy made $27,5M this year. That's more than: Andrew Wiggins, Jaren Jackson jr, Jalen Brunson, Jaden McDaniels, Mikal Bridges, Aaron Gordon. You know- playoff elite role players/ starters/ all stars. And this bum plays 13 min a game to suck in them.
But all is good since he now scales to $15M ? That's some bull right there. He will still make more money than Naz Reid, Gafford, Herb Jones etc.
I don't know how many times i spent writing how pointless it is to overpay backup Cs. Back to Biyombo days. You get guys who play 12-18 mpg, and only play one side of basketball, and you are showering them in money to impact around 18 possessions a game in game that has 95-100 possessions.
Like, i tuned in Knicks- Pistons tonight, PIstons don't have Stewart. Knicks have Mitch Rob as one of best backup bigs in nba. And yet when you watch playoffs, he simply isn't worth money, i would rather have another 6'8-6'9 wing defender who can make open shot like Batum than Mitch Rob in playoffs.
You simply need to play him more ( again, he only impacts defense, you need to get him enough MPG to boost amount of possessions he can impact) or not play him at all. In 18-20 min a game he simply does not help your defense enough but for damn sure hurts rhythm of your offense.
What was Nuggets & Clippers adjustment over a series? Ben Simmons and Deandre Jordan were removed from rotation. Coincidence?
What was Bucks adjustment for game 5? Removed Brook Lopez from rotation.
And here we are, trying to squeeze into rotation Mortiz Wagner (C), Isaac (C); Carter (C), Goga (C) and 6'10 Banchero along with 6'10 Franz. You simply don't need that many bigs. You need 1 C and 1 cheap backup C. That's all. ESPECIALLY when you have zero guards in rotation worth a damn.

His minutes were limited but he stayed injury free for a good spell. His salary at 15m is something approaching acceptable. More importantly, a team can take a swing on him as a defensive game changer and - if it doesnt look like working out - can stop playing him and get out of his deal for only $8m.
Kind of a win win for a team who may need cap space and/or wants to punt on a JI revival.
Clearly, the team that takes that approach could also be the Magic. But we need trade assets if we're going to land some offensive help and JI is now at least a little positive as an asset.
Trading Isaac frees up PF minutes for M-Wagner, ensuring Bitadze gets more floor time.
Isaac is expendable. And yes, I do think there is trade value there.

Trading Goga might be more palatable. Mose clearly doesn’t trust him, he’s a legit C whose upside/intrigue hasn’t yet been completely buried. Isaac/Moe might be even better or, better yet Portis/Moe…trade them both. Lead Guard is most glaring, but I’d welcome a big man shakeup too.

I really love Isaac but its insanity to pay him that and play him only 15 mins a game ....his contract should be around 8 mil a year at best
