We already had a bad season due to injuries. Our 4 primary scorers each lost a significant amount of time.
Yet we still got the 7th seed and had the 16th pick...
I mean sure.. 28 could have pick number 29 and they use it to draft the next Jokic and theu start to build a dynasty... but thems te breaks..

The East was horrible this season. 4 teams were tanking for Flagg (Wizards, Hornets, Raptors, Nets), 2 good teams were dealing with injuries and internal problems (76ers, Heat), 1 team also had injuries while they were rising (Hawks), and then the Bulls came in late. So, while I think it is great that we got the 7th seed this season, it does not mean if we have horrible injury luck that it will happen again, especially if those injuries are in 2028-2030.

Jesus, kindly stop whining already. Prophecy of doom to the fullest. Out of those 4 picks only one has a chance to become anything substantial and that is next year's pick after all the swaps. And let me say that if I was to send next years - let's say - #8 for Bane, I would. If I was to send one weak pick to dump Cole's and KCP's contracts away, I would.
And please don't act like the 3 picks in the lower part of the draft would change anything in Orlando's team outlook or will help Memphis build a dynasty for crying out loud.

well, 1 "unprotected pick" is #16 this year.
two of those "unprotected picks" will be in the mid-20's.
so the only one at risk for something high is the PHX pick swap. and PHX wont completely blow it up as they dont own full rights on that pick, so there is no incentive to be really bad.
but it keeps being shouted, 4 unprotected picks, but it isnt really as bad as it sounds.

I really do understand that. It is the injuries of this team that scares me about those unprotected picks. I just wish we would have protects it like top 8 or something.
