Derrick Rose. Even though I like him as a player, he was no Superstar. He had one great year in scoring and asists. Was never a solid defensive player and shot poorly from 3 until late in his career.

He has a very real chance of being the first NBA MVP that does not get into the Hall.

That said, players like Calvin Murphy, Tiny Archibald and Joe Dumars are in the Hall. And are any really THAT different than Rose?
Rose is not a first-ballot player, but I think in time, he gets a Springfield invite.

One can ask Jordan what he thinks of Dumars. I patterned my game based off Dumars. Dumars had a long career as an elite talent compared to Rose and was a career 38% 3 point shooter and one of the best wing defenders in the NBA. I watched games where Joe went toe to toe with Jordan while also scoring the ball efficiently.

Michael Jordan said of Joe Dumars,
"He was the guy that forced me to expand on my talents as an offensive player... and that's why I consider him one of the best" defenders he ever faced, due to Dumars' smart and strategic defense aimed at dissecting opponents and exploiting their weaknesses. Jordan also famously said, "My toughest battles are with Joe Dumars".

Not sure how everyone feels about it, but the first couple of names that popped into my head were Kobe and Carmelo. Kobe is looked at as all time great and he's just not. Without Shaq and before they for prime gasol for free, they barely could make the playoffs. Carmelo could just never elevate his team but was always looked at as one of the best players in the nba.

Agree with Melo and maybe even our own T-Mac (both awesome but maybe not highest level elite winners). I love Nique, but he probably also belongs here.

I think the WestBeast is soiling his legacy (in fans' eyes) in final years, he was briefly terrifying

Iverson was a beast...pound-for-pound toughest, fiercest competitor I've ever seen. I watched him single-handedly dismantle our "Heart & Hustle" squad the only time I ever sat in the front row at the Amway. Up close, it was truly amazing to see how fearless and skilled he was. ORL swapped in defenders one after another and he toasted them all.

D-Whistle. He missed too many games in comparison to his placements on a lot of peoples' lists.

I get that you don't like him...but that's absurd. He's #2 all-time and, IMO, he's closer to Jordan than he is to whoever is #3.

It's him Kareem and Jordan. That's entire conversation.

Most overrated list is way more interesting and entertaining conversation.
