The sad thing is two-fold.

1) in quarters 2-4, the Magic outscore the Pistons in each, to a total of 13 points; and Orlando still lost by 8.

2) If the Magic would have hit 47%FGs and 75%FTs, they probably win this game in spite of the first quarter.

It seems like we could have gotten closer than 8 - being that the Pistons were sound asleep and even snoring from the 2nd quarter on. They were walking in their sleep - and finally totally dozed off in the last few minutes.

Well at least the Magic had few turnovers, oops scratch that
Well at least they came out to play with effort, oops scratch that
Well at least they were tough on the boards, oops scratch that
At least they were able to slow down Rip and Billups, oops scratch that
Well at least Hedo and Rashard started out shooting well, oops scratch that
The Magic at least played tough, oops scratch that
At least the Magic showed mental toughness, oops scratch that
They had an off night but competed with energy, oops scratch that
If you were from Detroit you enjoyed the game abusing the punks
Well at least Garrity was the same - on the bench where he belongs and Van Gundy is keeping that glue on Garrity's ass - that was a positive
