It's difficult to evaluate the situation given our assumptions.

1. We assume that J.J. can play.

2. We assume that Stan is a really good coach.

3. Some assume that Otis is a total idiot and can't evaluate talent or make decent trades. But if he traded J.J. as some want and he turned into a good player, then you'd call him an idiot for giving away a good talent.

4. Without Stan playing him and risking some losses, which we would scream about, we can't say for sure if the coach should be playing him.

Joe (Tampa): Andre Miller to the Magic for Arroyo, Dooling (expiring contracts) and Reddick?

SportsNation Chad Ford: (1:24 PM ET ) Very good deal for the Magic ... however, I'm not sure that's going to be enough for the Sixers. I think they want more than expiring contracts and a lot of GMs around the league think Reddick can't play. How good would Ronnie Brewer have looked in a Magic uniform? Maybe if Jameer Nelson was in the deal ... maybe. Larry Brown loves him.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."
