I noticed that as well, I think he is getting tired. Hes been a little more lazy on going after rebonds and it has shown. Perhaps playing all summer plus the regular season now is wearing him down a little bit. He just needs a break I think. Of course that won't happen during all star weekend.

also remember how many more alley-oops he had in the beginning of the year when he was averaging like 3 a game?? Those easy baskets haven't been there as much.

thus would be due to our stubborn assed point guards.. though the past few games nelson is doing ALOT better at dishing it out

It's the mid season wall in addition to other teams adjustments.

15 rebounds p/g is a phenomenal #, and maintaining it is extremely difficult.

I would expect it to continue to drop too as the season progresses.

He's still a kid.......

Have we seen Rashard and Hedo starting to pick up more? My initial thought was maybe they are trying to help him out a bit.

But as craig says, 15 is unreal, 14.6 is still absolutely amazing. I imagine a part is tiredness / fustration combined aswell.

I agree with the above it's definitely a combination of factors.

He still gets his share of incredible "How in the hell did he get his hands on that one?" boards...but it doesn't seem like he is as active on the defensive glass as he was early in the year. Blame that on a heavy schedule, lack of touches or what have you...I think all of those things play a part in his numbers dropping.

haha when you go from 15.2 to 14.6 on average in a span of 8 games, thats a major drop off in averages. and when you take any 8 game period in the season and see Dwight averaging anywhere from 18.5rpg down to 14.6, and now 12 with this latest, you can see that there is something a foot...and when you watch him, you can tell he's slowed up drastically...

I really don't care as long as the Magic are winning.
