Nelson has a weird impact on me, it's not like Arroyo.
I hate Arroyo, like with every bone in my body, I hate his game,
but I hate the character himself.
Nelson I like, a lot. He's just a good kid with a lot of unfortunate troubles, it's not easy. At times I feel bad for him. He's also got some great potential and sometimes performs well. BUT, there's a but, when he plays like Arroyo, you start to really dislike him, but after a game the hate goes away. It's a weird love-hate thing with Nelson.

Nelson's so odd. He's either great or he's invisible. I haven't seen many players like him.

Damon Stoudamire is Mighty Mouse.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damon_Stoudamire
He earned the nickname "Mighty Mouse" due to the fact that he stands only 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), and that he had a Mighty Mouse tattoo on his right arm going into his rookie season.

I know that I have publicly said that I want Nelson out of Orlando, but seeing him with Dwight at the Dunk contest I see how good of friends he and Dwight are. And believe it or not I think it would be pretty cool for these two guys who were drafted toghether play alongside each other for the rest of their careers.

I still think Nelson is a bench player but he and Dwight always are proud to represent blue and black so I would like them both here for the rest of their careers(especially Superman)

oh yeah and we gotta come up wit a nickname for nelson after all he did feed dwight the superman dunk.

the thing is, I don't want to trade another close friend of our superstar. Remember us trading mike miller and how bummed t-mac was? that was the start of the end for him. We already has stupid brian hill send away dwights fav. big man coach, lets keep jameer for a little bit. His D will always be suspect, but i think if we got a versatile guard Jameer would flourish
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.

That describes about 2/3 of the NBA.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

TheRevTy wrote:Jameer has a great future. He just needs to figure out balance. He can be selfless and just pass, which makes him less effective, or he can be selfish and an unstoppable scorer (unless the other team has a really good shot blocker...). If he can find a mix of the 2, he can excel. Defensively, he used to be a pest, a la darrel. Dunno what changed, I still see it every now and then. Big guards like Billups and Baron will always dominate him, but that is why they are superstars. Superstars can dominate.

I think you are exactly right, Rev, but I don't think Jameer is at all selfish. Rather he seems to try too hard to do what the coach wants, and it seems that neither Hill nor SVG has been able to decide what they want him to do. They both have repeatedly changed their lines. I think Jameer has played his best games following a formula -- distribute early in the game and score late. Thinking about what he should do kills his effectiveness. He'll figure out the balance eventually. He probably would be there this year if his bereavement hadn't compromised his focus.
