Kurt Thomas for expirings wouldn't make sense for Seattle. Its basically expirings for expirings. I think a pick is need to make this work.

This would then be just a short term fix, for which we give them a pick.

I don't see why we'd do this, seeing that KT is no spring chicken, and we already have Tony.

Kurt Thomas said that once his contract expires, he'll likely sign with a team in Texas. So giving up a draft pick is ridiculous!

He is a very capable rebounder. That's one key for defense.

Any comments on his team defense from a West Coaster?

Let's put it this way:
I wouldn't expect him to stop anyone down low.
His allround game(which includes his rebounding) is also effected by how many touches he gets on offense, as he seems to lose his focus and effort quite a bit, when he's not involved on offense.

Yeah, but i doubt that Presti would be happy with just another 2nd rounder(we've got loads of them already) and i doubt that you'd want to give away a 1st rounder for that.

So most likely you'd have to take on a contract like the one's of Watson, Ridnour or Wilkins.
