Mo hasn't done a thing either so you washed out. Worse he was thought of so highly by his team they traded him for the scrub Ariza and not even head to head. They had to throw in the cookie monster and an exception.
When Mo puts together a season instead of a month or two call me. LOL. Hopefully by playoffs both will be healthy and we can see who is more valuable to their team.

Mo has been a starter for 20 games, and is getting 10.7ppg on 51% shooting. And 45% from 3. Don't you think you are underrating Mo's importance just a little? Its not like he does nothing for this team, and I don't see what Ariza does for the Lakers that is so much better. In terms of straight up IQ, I will laugh at anyone who thinks Ariza has a better one.

I think both teams got players that fit their respective teams better than the players they shipped out.
Mo's number have nearly doubled with less than double the minutes (of course he only played in 7 LAL games).
Cook eventually has become a good bench player for us.
Ariza's numbers have gone up, even starting 3 of the 24 games with them.
Instead of one team "winning" a trade, I think both teams have made out well.

It was just a bunch of Magic fans overreacting as usual and fearing that "omg we got raped".
Per usual.
You can't call yourself a real true magic fan if you don't think the the team got raped (without lube) over in every single deal the team ever makes just look at the past

If Evans and Ariza cancel each other out, then whatever Cook gives us is a bonus.
I like Evan's IQ - seems like every games he gets open underneath the basket for an easy dunk. That's knowing the defense and knowing where holes are.

Every single deal? The Magic "lose" every deal they make?
While the Magic have made their share of mistakes, so has every single franchise in existence. Don't forget the good deals we've made.

.
one sided argument by that rational they won because they gave up two players that barely played for them for a key piece that started some games. Plus sorry Mo can have a surge here and there but at 30 he has little upside to Ariza about 8 years his junior.
Expiration of contract is a wash. they both expire this year. Ariza is far more likely to resign in LA than a guy looking for his final big contract will be.
So the more fair thing to say is that i twill take a year or two to know who go t the better of this trade. Cook? give me a break. The expectations for him are so low that if he gives us one good game for every three we say he's working out.

Ariza was playing flat out great for the Lakers.
I wouldnt say that. Ariza had several good games for them but he also had several horrible games. He was very inconsistant and was struggling before he got hurt. Trevor is a good kid and he plays hard so i hope he gets well soon but that sucks for him that he keeps getting all those foot problems.
