anyone want to put any thought in starting dooling for defensive reasons?

No.

Keyon is nothing but a spark plug.

Wow, did we play the Raps again last night? Lots of Maple Leaf heat in here. I guess I'll chime in just a bit. Insulting Canadians is insulting Canadians, not racism. As far as I know they are only a few "races" and being from Canada isn't one. The term looked for here would be prejudice.

Someone made fun of the eh thing and someone goes nuts...wow. I would suggest someone develop some tougher skin, I've made fun of Raps fans Canadianism on a much worse scale and they thought it was funny, as it's all supposed to be FUN. Try to remember that.

The again, what do I expect from a country who's national sports icon is Bret "Hitman" Hart.....see that wasn't so bad, lighten up.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Real? He shot the ball every time he touched it. He doesn't have the creativity of a pure point guard. Sure he gets assists, but Marbury in his day got 9 assists as well and no one dare call him a true point.

Nash, Kidd, Calderon, Paul, Williams and Diener/Stockton are the true point guards of the league.

well, real and true are 2 different things...i just meant real like, he's actually a PG, like what we dont have...Miller would make this team so much better, it's so true...a capable PG and we're in the 2 round easy...and not for nothing, but Miller and AI2 were just out there playing basketball for themselves...they got nothing else going on...a good example of Miller being a good PG is last game in NY he had 12/10 and since they last played us they went on a winning streak with Miller averaging 18ppg/8.7apg/5rpg/2topg...much healthier than Jameer+Arroyo's #'s...

that's all im saying...

Guy's I'm not agianst you but I think we take this stuff to far. The price of living in free societies is you might here something you don't agree with. We had a war one night after a Raptors Magic game , and I think some of us just like to screw with the Canadians. I like thier team but even I like screwing with those guy's. I'm sure I would'nt mind living up there with them. Just as long as I have the american military backing me up if the Russians decide to invade. lol

why are you quoting me i was being nice i seriously do like flanal and canadian accents, i thought it was stupid to make fun of canadians.

Ah, but is it stupid to make fun of the "STUPID" Canadians who make the comments I refer to? So, I'm to take sensitivity training? We hopefully haven't degraded to that level in all aspects and levels. Okay, let me try...apologies to the crybaby, sissy, thin-skinned little...ahem...apologies to the politically correct, hypersensitive, punk....no, that didn't work. Uh...hmmm....in most sarcastically meek and placating "voice"...The ugly, ****kicking, thuggish, 4X4 drivin' oaf (me) says "gawrsh, ya'll...ah dint meanta uhffend ya'll". There, that do it? Seriously, lighten up when your basketball acumen in questioned in what I felt was an obvious tongue-in-tobacco-chawing-cheek remark from a vet of the ol' put-em-in-their-place flame wars  . Later, gents!

First off, sorry for being late to this. I actually missed the game last night as I was out of town, and haven't caught up until now.

Now, let's just drop the Canadian/"race" issue.

This is the reason that, while some people may not like it, "race" issues typically get a preemptive lock on this board. It just never works. Whether it's because people are hidden behind a screen name or what, but they really just never work.

What it boils down to is that this isn't even a race issue. Canadian is not a race. (It's hard not to laugh having to say that.)

If anything, it was a minor jab at Canadians tucked away inside of a large thread on the Orlando Magic board. This thread didn't even have anything to do with Canada or the Raptors -- it was a large game thread against the Philadelphia 76ers.

In other words, I think we need some perspective.

I'm not saying it's okay to make fun of people who live in Canada, but under the circumstances, this was pretty low on the pole as far as offensiveness. Had the poster started a thread on the Raptors board, this would surely be much different.

With that said, can we please just drop the issue on the board. I prefer to refrain from locking a topic, especially when some likely still have relevant discussion left, but this "ya'll" spewing redneck doesn't wish to moderate a
"race" issue on a basketball board.

If you have anymore concerns, please PM me personally.
