Booby Gibson

Post#1 » by TheRevTy » Fri Feb 22, 2008 4:31 pm

This thread really has little to do with Booby Gibson, I just figured it might get people in to read it. The connection is I was wondering why we can't play JJ in a similar way that the Cavs play Gibson? That is, bring him in as the PG, but have Hedo actually run the offensive point role. That way, JJ can defend the PG on defense and run around and actually have someone pass it to him on offense. Previously, we've tried playing him with Dooling, but Dooling never sees fit to pass it to him. This seems to at least be an option as far as how to get our MVB (most valuable benchwarmer) on the court.

i dont think hedo would be as good as lebron running the offensive point. i dont really think hedo should run the offensive point all that much actually. but we could try it i guess, i just lose faith in the hedo point gaurd theory when i see his bad passes when he tries to do something neat. ya he pulls it off sometimes but other times it just looks horrible. i think jameer has been doing a decent job at point of lately. but i do wanna bring up some people who had been saying they wanted earl watson the past three or four weeks, and i said theres no way he's an upgrade. He's has been great these past few games like really great, still not sure if he can be consistent but i think he couldve definitely helped

I thought this thread was going to be on how Travis Diener took him out and now he's going to miss 4-6 weeks.
