I think the league should impose a no return policy on Barry and the Spurs, like they did with Dallas and Stack/KVH/etc. otherwise it's just complete bias.
i had the idea all along that SA paid a high price to get KT, but thought that maybe they were willing to because they knew they'd get Barry back in the end? so the deal for them was essentially Elson + 1st rounder for KT? that's solid to me.
i'd like to see the Magic acquire Barry. we won't. we've got a glut in the backcourt as it is, despite the fact that it's a glut of mediocre players. Barry would give us a tall guard who can play PG/SG combo, he can defend, hit the 3, would compliment Meer well, and he's a vet with Championship experience. he's exactly what this team needs.
that said, Barry's most likely gone to a West Coast power - SA, Pho, LA, Dallas. he seems to like the West. maybe he can be an offseason option for us to chase down?

The Mavericks would have gotten away with it, too, if Stackhouse hadn't opened his mouth. That gave the league something to tag the Mavs with. I don't think the league can impose a ban for longer than 30 days because, if I'm not mistaken, it's in the new CBA -- and it was something that was added because of Gary Payton. The only reason they could keep the Mavs from doing it is because Stackhouse pretty much came out and said it was a prearranged deal -- and that's not supposed to be allowed.
