either way im sure ur right and hes tight with bogans too

Nah Its Bogans and Gooden they cant be seperated come offseason. From what i know most everyone really likes DeShawn as a teamate but he is kinda a solo kind of cat.

If we had resigned DS we would not have had the cash to sign Lewis .... I guess nuf said.

Under Chris Jent, Deshawn was more than solid as a 3 point shooter. His ability to shoot 3's now is no surprise imo. Brian Hill was just an awful coach. Asking a good 3 point shooter to never shoot 3's, what kind of coach does that.

I would have liked to keep Deshawn but come on, his demands were WAY too high and Otis did the right thing, he basically got the same player for almost have the price Deshawn wanted

yes I agree that Deshawn is better now but at the time it was very little

Deshawn has improved his game alot but I still don't see him worth the contract he just got

He's getting 3.3 this season and in 3 seasons it will be up to "only" 4. I think that's more than fair for a player that has stepped up to help fill the void left in Arena's absence.

^true, but for Orlando, at the time the price was ludicrous...of course now in the wake of Shard Gate, $ really doesn't mean much of anything...

As a Wizards and Magic fan I think it was the right thing to let him go. When he was with the Magic Stevenson always took those dumb 20 foot jumpers, didn't have 3 point range, didn't finish like he should. The team is better off without him.

Stevenson left, it's not like the Magic didn't make an offer. And the offer would have been negotiable.

But if he had resigned, Bogans would not be a Magician. Stevenson is a better start 2 guard over Bogans.

He was asking for wayyyy more than he was worth. We got bogans for pretty cheap. Stevenson is better but not good enough to overpay him what he wanted... And with the fans here who are alway angry about overpaying and resigning players i could just see it now how much he would get bashed when he has those awful games of his

Stevenson is better than our SG's but by just a fraction. I dunno if he signed the same deal in Wash that we were gonna give him, but i'm sure it was around the same price. I think he was askin for more from otis and ended up signing for less in Wash anyway. I've watched him, he has gotten better about finishing around the basket, but all in all its not like he's turned into a freak of nature after he left us.

Stevenson didnt want our offer, and i thought it was very reasonable. His agent keep pushing for more and more. I can honestly say i dont miss him nor do i think "oh wow we never should have let him go".

DS is OK.

Had he stayed, we would have helped some of the defensive woes.

I do agree that is he is a notch better than the current stack of 2G's.
