Decent is an understatement. I don't know what SVG did, but he's really good.

Well, his defense is better than we expected, but he is more passive than we expected on offense...

he's definitely not the best on the ball defender but his help defense has been pretty good the last 15 games or so. he's also blocking more shots

He played great defense on Dirk and Artest. I don't know if its ability, or just freakishly long arms.

Rashard not playing sf has helped in that he doesn't have to guard perimeter defenders. Having dwight in the paint helps a lot with the Pfs. He couldn't defend them either in Seattle. He still pretty soft physically and not sure he the guy that will ever jump and take many charges.

Agreed. Having watched shard a lot over the past few years, I am seeing a much better effort defensively. He still is not great but he can definitely be effective against certain types of players.

Offensively his "passiveness" is bordering on shocking. If this is him "playing within the system", he needs to bust out of the system :)
"And with Dwight, he's Moses Malone at 22, Shaq at 22 and Tim Duncan.

Shard does fine vs guys his size, he just has trouble with bigger stronger players.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu will continue to step on each other's toes. They play far too similarly to continue as a duo. This isn't a Celtics, Wizards, or even Nets big 3 where all three have distinct roles. Howard is the post, Hedo is the ball handler, and Rashard is the "stand around and wait to get passed to if you're open at the three point line or if Hedo isn't in the game."

If Rashard started screaming for the ball, how would that look, especially when Dwight has been chastised for the same action?

He's actually pretty good on the perimeter, if hes in too deep he doesnt do much but yeah hes way better than I thought since people kept saying he wasn't very good.

Otis was just being coy with his answer to that question. He didn't want to tip off that he was going to throw the bank at him last summer.

Rashard's length definitely helps him. And there are currently some lanky power forwards in the league.

Antawn Jamison was 6-18 last night. ANother solid defensive effort out of the PF slot!
