All Hedo has done is be great and the teams second best player. This team made such a big investment now in Rashard its like people want to mess with a good thing to put Rashard in the best situation to succeed. IMO Hedo right now is playing better than I've ever seen Rashard play in his career.

Fans are funny. Most only want trades that involve losing their worst players to get another team's best players. They never want to have give something decent to get something decent. In reality, you trade a player while his stock is high if your roster has holes in it and you have another good player to play the same position.

The main problem is the Magic would never get the value back because of Hedo's contract. He is only making about 6 million a year. Name a guy putting up nearly 20/6/4 a game that only makes 6 million a year, who also shows up in the 4th nearly every night?

That's why he would be shipped off with one of our expirings.

We want to trade Hedo because his value will never be higher, it's our best tradeable asset, and the best piece to move that will serve this team for the long haul. Now IF the Magic can acquire a PG or a PF without trading Hedo, great. Move him to SG, and move Rashard to SF. But I don't know if that'll work either.
Basic point is this: Rashard CANNOT stay at PF the rest of his contract. It just won't work in the long haul. It's not good for him, and it's not good for this team. Trading Rashard is nearly impossible now because of his contract, we wouldn't get anywhere near equal value. Hedo on the other hand, is easily movable because of his good contract, and the way he's playing.
We all love Hedo, but some of us have a different opinion on the best ways to improve this team and become a true contender.

the MLE might nab us a PF. if we keep Hedo he could swing between SG/SF and Lewis between SF/PF.
i want to see our team with players that can switch it up so we can completely change the way we play the game and the pace. like having a small ball unit as well as a strong half court unit.
This is probably the best method.

And how do you know? Guys play out of position the whole time, go ask Nellie. The 3-4-5 spots are locked IMO, if the Magic can find a legit starting PG or even steal someone valuable like Calderon, they'll be title contenders next year. Orlando's system is not about banging down low, it's about jumpshots, threes and running.

I guess the long range concern could be the physical effect from playing against bigger guys.
I didn't think Shard at the 4 and Hedo at the 3 would work nearly as well as it is. Factoring in just the play (ignoring foregoing) I'm not really sure we need a typical 4 starting.
