Dissapointing that the Magic didnt play hard but ultimately this game is meaningless having clinched the division and 3rd place. And they played like it was meaningless and wanted to go home as quickly as possible. Really cant take much out of this game.

I didn't read the post game wrapup yet ...

Was there any complaining about the lack of respect afterwards?

"There's no analysis. We stunk," Magic Coach Stan Van Gundy said. "On offense, we stunk. On defense, we stunk."

It's funny how anyone is taking this game seriously.

Just like the Magic didn't? I understand that they have nothing tangible to play for at this point.

The concern for me is no this game, but is that they may be too young to be able to turn it on or off quickly come playoff time.

They should going into the first round as a well oiled machine, not one that is sputtering. There still are few games for them to get into the playoff mindset. Hopefully they will be able to do so.

You can say it's meaningless all you want, but I want 50 wins. That's something tangible to play for.

im of the belief that all games matter, it's the warrior spirit...SVG doesn't think the game was meaningless...and I can bet you that practice will be fun this week...and this just adds to our disappointments this season, we are yet again unable to close out the lower tier teams

Charlotte
Philly
NY
Memphis
Indy
ATL

it's inevitable that top teams will be surprised every year, but not my nearly every lesser team...

Dwight Howard for about the 10th time this year, just a pedestrian...he's frustrating...

Which is why I made the comment months ago that it appears no one hates to lose.

I think the team (and he included) think that they're be able to turn it on and off like a light switch. I hope they are right.

The ability to focus and play hard when it doesn't really count is a sign of maturity. Our two co-captains are still a bit too young I guess to keep the pedal to the floor all the time.

(sorry for the clich

I agree with that. But we will get 50 wins, I also hate to see my team lose ( especially to the knicks ) but people blow up after a loss and start saying stupid things like " Rashard Signing was Wrong " or my favorite one used to be when they used to bash SVG - Havent seen that one in awhile thank god. But what im tryna say is Everygame does have meaning and it sucks that we lost but dont think its the end of the world. I have more problem with our Defensive rebounding the last 3 games Then us loseing 2 the knicks.. That is a real problem.

This was just the classic let down game.

The Magic have had others this season and have bounced back quickly.

They are human......even the best teams lose 20 games, and some of those are to crap teams like last night.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

It is meaningless in the grand scheme but still.. we want to get 50 wins.. and also.. it leaves a bad taste in your mouth when your big 3 is still playing 30 minutes each and we still lose.. if we were resting them I really wouldnt care about the loss.

bleh. One loss and it is meaningless. Only thing that matters is are the guys ready for the playoffs. If you get 50 wins and can't get out of the first round will anyone care? nope. The meaningfulness at this time of year is playoff related. 50 is just a coach motivator or a fan rallying point to pronounce the season a success without playoff results. bring on the real season. We should be fine.
