In Jameer's case, this might work better:

Here is a question if Battie had the surgery when recommended instead of putting it off so he could go on trip to China would he be back now?
Second part which is more important the team or a trip to China?

Third part, if Battie hadn't put off the surgery and was expected back this season and we hadn't gotten the injury exception would we still be starting Bogans and playing Garrity extended minutes all season...

I really wonder what our practices are like too, sounds like WW2.

Also this offseason Evans & Bogans will have to do rock paper scissors for who grows a mohawk so they don't confuse announcers.

Battie was hurt in September. The recovery period for the surgery he had (which involved his rotator cuff) was 7-9 months. If April was almost over, he would be at the 7-month mark.

I think this is just smart. Tony is probably disappointed, but he needs to heal completely. He hasn't practiced with the team yet because the medical staff hasn't cleared him to do so.

Besides, he hasn't had a chance to play a game with the team this season yet. There is no other team who is going to try to bring back a player who hasn't played a single game this season for the playoffs.

Because of Battie's injury, the Magic had a roster slot that was of interest for Foyle. Thus, next year, the Magic have a strong combo-big tandem off of the bench.

In a strange way, Tony's injury helped the Magic in their quest to win a title in the 2008-2009 season.

Also, it was Battie's injury exemption that lead to Evans moving East. The Magic would be in a big pile of poop in the SG slot without Evans.

I second that completely. Even he's just gonna get us 2 pts 1 rebound and 6 fouls, thats 6 fouls that doesn't have to go on Dwight. Plus this is the second player that has been injured due to his elbows. That is the kind of physical play we will need out of our guys in the playoffs. I'm all for playing Gortat and Auggie as much as possible.
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.

Maybe coach can divvy up some of the playing time behind Lewis and Howard to those two. I really like what I've seen from Gortat and if he's playing along with Dwight we might get to see his range on display.

I was thinking the same. We've seen him play garbage minutes but wonder how effective he'd be lined up next to Dwight for a bunch of minutes. Thats the sort of toughness this team will need if it faces Detroit in the playoffs.

My first thought on Gortat mugging Dwight was that he must now be the team hero. This is supported by the Orlando Sentinel.

Dwight Howard returned to the court Wednesday with a swollen lip -- along with six stitches inside from a Marcin Gortat elbow at practice Tuesday -- but he was laughing about it before the game. "I just hit my lip on the rim," he said, coming to the morning practice with a Muhammad Ali sweatshirt. "This isn't an injury. A sprained ankle is an injury." Howard took plenty of ribbing from teammates and coaches the past two days about being hit, instead of him usually hitting someone else. He was the one who hurt Battie in preseason, gave Jameer Nelson concussion-like symptoms earlier this month, and broke the bone on the right hand of teammate Brian Cook. "When he [Howard] is doing more hitting than anyone else, sometimes you have to get a little git-back, don't you?" asked Otis Smith. "I'm surprised it took him [Gortat] this long to get in a good whack."

Wasn't sure exactly what you were after so let me know if you don't like it I can try again, or if you want me to tweak it its easy to modify.

Looks cool, but can you try to make the image of Gortat/Goro look from the front instead of sideways? Thanks.

Gortat should not see minutes next to Dwight. Dwights rebounding would dip down to 5rpg. Warlock will elbow and claw his way to every board, even if he has to smash his own teamates along the way. The guy means business.
