Road Warriors: a rare feat

Post#1 » by drsd » Wed Apr 16, 2008 6:06 am

With the Magic's last victory, they are ensured a better road record than home record. This almost never happens. In fact, the NBA rate for this is below 1%.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not, but an interesting statistical event.

To my knowledge, the Magic's rare feat comes with the highest winning percentage. Not sure, but I think so.

rofl I think each team has jinxed each either. If anything the raptors have more of a jinx because of sheer numbers. The players will decide the series, not some jinx

I'd like to see the playoff runs (if they made it) of other teams who have done this.

Actually our road record was a LOT better than our home record there for a while. We've kind of closed the gap over the last two months, but I think it's a good thing. Any 50+ win team is dangerous, but one that keeps its focus on the road is deadly.

We only have home court adv. for the first round. So a team that has a demonstrated ability to win on the road has an edge in the playoffs. Of course we're playing better competition on the whole ...
