While I belive Foyle needs to play for the playoffs, you are completely off base concerning Gortat. He was SURPRISINGLY athletic, and got up and down the floor pretty well. He even beat the entire wiz defense down the court and threw it down. He runs the floor well. Seems to be a smart player. The only knock I have on him is hes not experienced for the playoffs. Hes not ready yet. But he looked like he could be turned into a service enforcer type bigman.

Every year there is a guy that doesn't make much of an impact during the regular season, but the light bulb goes off in the playoffs. I think the Magic have a couple of candidates to be that guy.

Good win for the Magic tonight. The more momentum they have on their side. The better prepared they are when the playoffs begin this weekend.

Hey man, Foyle is the definitition of a stiff. I liked the guy back in the day but he was pretty useless this season. Very slow, couldn't jump and inch off the ground and his hands are made of stone. Obviously too late to make any changes now, but Gortat or Augustine should have gotten game experience earlier in the season. I'd feel alot better going into the playoffs with one of those two had they gotten some minutes this season, over Foyle and what I have seen from him this year.

Situationly, I think it could definately make more sense for Gortat to come in to spell Lewis if we need rebounding. If we need offense, we are gonna have to go with Garrity.

After watching the game last night I have to say I was extremely impressed with Marcin has to offer for the team. While much of his playing time came against the Wizards second unit....he guarded their starting center (Haywood) for a good amount of time.

An honest opinion on him was that on defense he bit on a lot of Haywood's moves and on offense was not able to hold his position in the paint that well. However for some reason he was able to stay with his man on drives and challenged a lot of shots.

Marcin is also very quick....which is where you have to make a decision. In my opinion he needs to bulk up a bit in order to be a better low post presence, however not to the point where it hurts his ability to move. Marcin is able to run the fast break fairly well and is fairly quick for a big man. I would not be opposed to seeing him on the floor more as our back up C and situational PF/C combo with Dwight. The two would be scary on defense.
