I'm still not sure if it made us better or not. Having him at SG seems like an upgrade over Evans or Bogans - or, at the least, having him come off the bench (though I doubt he would've done that).

Still, Hedo seemed to play better when Hill was off the court, so him going to Phoenix looks to have been for the better. Like craig said, with him on the floor, players would likely defer to him, as had been the case in the past.

Now that SVG has said that we are better off without Hill, it's time for Otis to man up and admit that he told Hill to look elsewhere. The OSen reported it, and Hill hinted at it. In May, whenever Hill was asked if he wanted to stay with the Magic, he said that they hadn't offered him a job. when Otis was confronted with this he said that he wanted Grant to do what was best for Grant, whatever that was.

I was one of the biggest backers of Grant, but the split was best for both, he didn't want to play SG again, and didn't want to come off the bench, and instead of the iso's and mid range jumpers, getting more long range shooting from the 2 spot through Bogans and Mo has made this a unique team.

I felt no sorrow seeing Grant get knocked out in the 1st round tho

Most likely the truth.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

Otis lied then what a shocker.

Anyway this shouldn't be news. I've said all year that the biggest reason why Hedo is playing so well is no Grant Hill. Without Grant Hill last year and Steve Francis in the past Hedo was finally allowed to become the primary ball handler. In the past with Brian Hill Hedo just stood at the 3 point line on the weakside waiting for his shot. Now thats pretty much Rashard's job while Hedo plays on the strong side as primary playmaker.

Of course, Curse to Grant Hill and that ankle. Backstabbing POS! I'm actually glad he is gone. we were always wondering about that ankle.
