Wow one bad game and we are turning on Dwight. He is still young and he is the only big man the Magic have while the other team have 3 or 4 holding him, pushing him, hitting him etc. He got frustrated and still has a lot to learn.
Duncan complaints more than Dwight, the difference is, the refs listen to him.

Well Dwight did say he got 'tips' from Rasheed when dealing with the refs. I guess he can't outdo the master.

I dont believe that he complains to much because he's really getting beat up all game long by 3 different pistons and the refs are allowing it to happen (but only on one end of the floor)... He gets touch fouls called on him, picks up fouls when he goes straight up, picks up tons of illegal screen calls... get tackled and taken to the floor by mcdyess and get a T as well. Mcdyess should be suspended for that sh*t if you ask me. I mean that is BS. I can understand where Dwight is coming from on some fronts, I have to give him credit for not loosing it and knocking McDyess da f'out right on the spot.
However I do believe that the manor in which he wines and cries isn't helping the situation at all. Like someone said people listen when Duncan complains, nobody listens to dwight. D12 needs to keep his head and complain smarter instead of acting like a baby. It would be nice if he learned to channel his frustrations in a better way (i.e. just playing harder; take it out on the opposition) we could use that ASAP.
What irritates me is that when you watch the pistons grab and hold on one end and on the other flop and kick a leg out while they shoot and then fall over. Then to hear the announcers call that veteran play..... Has the NBA gone so far away from basketball that being a pu$$y like Manu has become the normal "veteran" thing to do?
IMHO this is the biggest dilema I have with the magic.... I cant decide if I want them to start playing to the refs like everyone else does (Flopping etc.) just to win games or keep doing what we have been doing and beat teams honestly....... But when I look at this team nobody besides maybe carlos sometimes is the flopper type. This may or may not be a problem....... but I do know latley in the NBA "floppers win championships" and that pisses me right the hell off.

he does complain a lot yes, but to be fair he's got a pretty good reason. He led the league in FTs, and last night he got to the line twice. We all know he gets pushed and hacked almost every play.
I've been saying it for years, ever since Detroit won the championship and had that "Bad Boys II" image. They are allowed to be FAR MORE physical than any other team in the league. By far. And i've been saying it for years, so it's not just me complaining about it this year.
Now...Dwight needs to learn to complain during breaks in play, and to hustle back on D. He can't whine and complain while the opposition pushes the ball down the court. He can't stand there and put his hands up in the air and pout. Go back to work, and when there's a break in play, walk over to the official and talk to them. They'll respond far better if Dwight reacts appropriately. Complaining after every play just ticks off the officials cause you're calling them out.
But we have to remember, even though Dwight has become a 1st Team player. He's still only 22 years old. Very hard for a 22 year old player to be calm. Hell I get angry in a game at LAFitness, with nothing on the line. Dwight's trying to win a championship.
Hopefully as he matures and progresses, he'll learn to complain at appropriate times. Unfortunately I don't think there's a single superstar that does this.
