I think too many of our players are uptight and need to relax. They need to hook up with a couple cheerleaders and make some child support payments drink some beer and relax. Hey ..... it worked for Shawn Kemp. He was just maxin' and relaxin' and that allowed him to remain in the league stress free for what 92 years or something like that.

Not to mention that Kemp can now field a good AAU team complete with a bench.

I think this thought process from the players is just a sign of immaturity as a team.
A BETTER team does not have 21 turnovers while only allowing 3. A BETTER team does not continue to miss FREE throws. A BETTER team does not end a series with the same number of assist as turnovers and last of all a BETTER just DOES NOT lose a series 4 games to 1!

What are you talking about

We were turnover machines pretty much all series long.

The sad thing about this series is the fact the Magic did more damage to themselves than the Pistons ever could just about every game. Hell even in game 3, late in the 3rd, the Magic stopped attacking, was whining about every play that didn't go their way and this of course let the Pistons right back in the game. Of course they went back to work in the 4th, but still.
This series was nearly identical to last years series. Turnovers and missed FTs once again did them in. The only difference is the fact the Magic were better than last year, while the Pistons had dropped off some, which was the main reason every game could have went either way, unlike last year where the Pistons would have huge leads and the Magic would come back a little in garbage time to make the score closer than it really was.
I expect the Magic to beat the Pistons next year in the playoffs if they meet. Each game was close and they shouldn't have been. I believe the last game was a perfect example of the Magic screwing themselves and something we saw just about every game in the series. 21 turnovers resulting in 34 Piston points, while they also added 12 missed FTs to the lot. They lost that game by 5 points and they should have won by 20. The Pistons nearly had a perfect game and still could only beat the Magic by 5. Last year the Pistons would have beaten the Magic by 20+ in a game like that.
I expect SVG to tune up the Magic for next year and get rid of the sloppy play. It is truly the difference between elite teams and just good teams.

I can't see how anyone can seriously say the Pistons toyed with us and turned it on in the 4th. Did they do anything spectacular in the 4th? Turning it on is running into players and flopping? They didn't make any amazing shots, they didn't execute any great plays. All they seriously did was get to the line. If that's the Pistons turning it on, the Magic definitely aren't that far behind the Pistons. I don't want to say the Magic beat themselves, but they hurt themselves badly. 90% of those turnovers weren't forced, they were just incredibly stupid passes and/or moves. It's not so much that the Pistons are that great of a team and turned it on, it's because the Magic players became (Please Use More Appropriate Word) in the 4th quarter. I think Hedo trying to shoot his off balance, off the backboard teardrop layups at an angle pretty much no one can make that shot at was pretty stupid, no?

A perfect game... They couldn't throw a ball into the ocean that game.... 36% is no where close to perfect... They protected the ball, yes, but that was pretty much all they did offensively in that game...
Last year, the Pistons had Billups... While Billups doesn't get his teammates easy shots like a nash or a Paul does, he does get them easier shots that Hunter and Stuckey and his loss was a huge reason why we only shot 36%...
The Pistons still have at least one more year of owning the Magic

I'm really confused with this here:
And then 1 minute later, the post below:
Huh? If they're a smarter and more experienced team and beat us, aren't they a better team?

Why are we constantly talking about loosing close games when they didn't even have there best players. If your better then you definitely should win those games. We not only lost we lost a game at home with Chauncey watching on the sideline. Oh we will get it done next year. I guess the hope is Billups goes down with another freak injury next year so we get a second shot at the Stuckey led Pistons. In reality we need to improve just to beat a Billups less Pistons.
