Would McCants help?

MN fan here. Just hoping to give and receive some information as it looks like Mayo is quite high on the Wolves board's wish list.

Gomes is a free agent, but restricted and high priority to be resigned though I am not sure/don't think the wolves would go to the full MLE.

Jaric is quite useful, receiving many minutes as a glue guy, but everyone knows his contract is .... less than desirable to put it mildly.

McCants, who is why I came here trying to find a good home for him (was quite suprised to see a thread here about him), is quite atheletic and showing that he has recovered from his injury of last season. His numbers were not a good as they could have been since the coach here had him on a fairly short leash. His defense NEEDS improvement, but the athleticism and strength should help more here as he continues to apply himself more. He is a solid shooter and can get to the basket.

Sound like I am trying to sell him? Maybe, but I have no illusions that he is an all star either. Still a solid prospect, could be a 20 ppg scorer (though with the scorers on your team, may be hard in Orlando), and seemingly a fit in terms of need (minus the defense, which has improved and could/should continue to do so).

My question is on Battie and his usefulness. Does he/has he been contributing solid minutes? Obviously not worth his contract, but worth a roster spot?

Not that I am on board for sure (and no idea on half the Wolves fan base), but something along the lines of Battie and #22 for McCants and ?? (Jaric?) as a basis. Figured I would ask here and see where it goes.

Aside that, really like your squad though wish you had better balance with essentially two SF's playing and Howard at center where I wish he could be back at PF. Was hoping for a Boston / Orlando ECF, but still alot to like with the Magic though it seems there are a few naysayers on Jamiir. Has he not lived up to expectations? I digress. Grats on a good season and be interested in hearing what you all think.
