The only decent guys on our bench: Battie, Cook

Dooling can defend but should never touch the ball on offense.

Gortat could be okay. I just can't understand why a guy like Gortat would only play like three games all season then play significant minutes in every single postseason game. I can't help feeling like if Gortat would have gotten some of minutes we wasted on Foyle he could have contributed more in playoffs.

The thing is that Gortat was nowhere near ready when the season started. It took alot of hard work & training on his part, many practices against Dwight Howard and attention from the coaching staff to help him develop to the point that he could play. Stan himself said that he has never seen a player improve soo much from the start to the end of the season like Gortat did. After the all star break he should have gotten playing time and Stan did lament that he should have played him more. Considering the lack of bigman depth, Gortat should have been given a chance sooner. Its dissapointing that didnt happen, but better late than never i guess. Atleast now as we head into next season we know that he can play and looks like a good bench asset, that wasent the case before the last week of the regular season.

I think Stan actually raved about Marcin's rapid development in the last few months. When they sent him to D league, Otis said they were disappointed in his performance there. He didn't rebound much and couldn't stay out of foul trouble. I think that was in December.

When he first got a chance in a game, I wasn't that impressed, but he did very well in the playoffs.

The Magic bench noting players that would be any 10 man rotation in the NBA:

PG: Dooling (solid 15 mpg guy)
SG: Evans (solid 15 mpg guy)
SF: Bogans (solid 20 mpg guy)
PF: Cook (solid 15 mpg guy)
C: Battie (solid 20 mpg guy), Foyle (solid 15 mpg guy)

The Magic have an OK bench.

Not Foyle. I think Foyle getting playing time on a regular basis has come to an end. Foyle PT next year = Garrity PT this year.

Never seen him play, but I'll give anyone 6'10, 270lbs who loves contact a chance.....we need some tough, big/strong players on this team.

I wonder if he will play in the summer league this year. If i remember right last year he suffered an injury in practice prior to the summer league.

?? I don't think he ever intended to play. In fact, the thing him is that they say we drafted him because he has the same agent with Darko.

Van Gundy said Monday night that they believe he will participate in summer league. I'm guessing at least some of that will depend on Cornstein. (Van Gundy did not say that last part.)

I say this on the Florida today board aka John Denton's place.

Looks like our 2nd rounder scored 31 points in a win months ago although he only had 3 rbs. He has been playing with a team in St. Petersburg Russia, averaging 13pts and 6rebs in 22 minutes.

I would think that it would be in Cornstein's best interest for Milo to come to the States and play in the summer league.

Unless things have changed ...

Cornstein = Oil
Otis = Water

I was doing research on the Rakovic and his current team because its slow here at work and there is nothing going on, and here are interesting facts:

- Andrei Kirilenko played for them in the late 90's.

- The team name means Spartacus

- Toronto Raptors greatest draft pick Rafael Arujo plays for them, he averaged 9pts and 6rebs. Makes me feel good that atleast Milo outproduced him.
