darko, we needed rebounding and defense, and that hurt...stuckey is just good at driving, the guy cant throw the ball in the ocean

why do you come and ask for someones opinion and then proceed to flame them for it. You asked for an opinion and got one. Not everyone has to agree with you. This isnt a non-refutable fact thread, its an opinion based one. So get used to opinions you dont like or simply leave.

Fine, but when most people offer opinions, they do so in a manner of "Stuckey is garbage because......".

It's one thing to give an opinion, it's another to flame a guy. Calling Stuckey garbage and then not giving any sort of reason is no better IMO.

I have no problem if he would have said, "I don't think Stuckey is all that good because he didn't show any sort of perimeter game. Or he didn't look quick enough to play defense against PG's or he isn't a very smart player and made terrible decisions. The fact was he didn't, and more or less just trashed the guy without validation.

I don't hear anyone else saying that Jameer is a good measuring stick for rookie PG's. Maybe he doesn't think Stuckey is that good and that just shows how bad he thinks Jameer is.

stuckey is in a great situation with detroit, but come on foreal, put a jersey on flip saunders and he will have a good game against orlando..the fact that stuckey is a pg/sg that cant shoot, and doesnt pass well makes him have a lot of work to do..he shot .35% against orlando and 35% against philly..

Stuckey has a bright future no doubt. Almost makes me regret the Darko trade.

However, Detriot proved that Billups is not AS neccesary to their offense as orginally believed.

I wouldn't go that far. Billups is capable of hitting 3pters and getting to the FT line at will against either Nelson or Dooling. Stuckey IMO played decently, he did a good job of not turning it over and getting to the FT line and attacking the rim. I wouldn't say that diminishes Billup's role on this team at all. Billups is the TONE-SETTER, he controls the offense and plays a "closer" role when necessary. Believe Rasheed shouldn't be shooting that last shot if Billups were available.

Did any of you guys happen to watch game 2 of the ECF's? I thought Rodney Stuckey played a great game for the Pistons and was huge in their winning game 2. I seriously think he's got a chance to be a very good player in the league if he can maintain his level of play and continue to try to improve his game. I'm especially impressed with his composure and ability to hit clutch shots and free throws late in games.

For any of the Magic fans that aren't impressed with Stuckey so far, did his performance in this postseason change your opinions at all?

As long as he is surrounded by his current teammates.

He's played well, no doubt. But his path in Detroit is a lot easier than if somewhere else. It does make the Darko trade look lopsided at this time.

The Pistons are a unique team, and Stuckey is in the right place at the right time.

Houston could have traded Sampson for Drexler and the 2nd pick but declined.

They could have had Hakeem, Clyde, and Jordan all on the same team. They could have made a similair deal either a year or 2 later as well but declined again.

That could have been a Dynasty of epic proportions.
