Sure we do if we want to part with Jameer, which Otis doesn't, or Hedo, again Otis doesn't, and which they don't need. Or we could use draft picks to help facilitate a deal, but why should we put 15-20 Million into pg's when we have so many other needs? Chicago isn't willing to do that, have Rose and Hinrich at the same time, why should we? Because its redundant Rich, not because we don't have assets.
The Bulls have 2 directions they could go in a Hinrich trade. They could use Hinrich in a straight trade to upgrade another position. The other possibility is they package Hinrich to go after a all-star superstar level player. Right now there a lot of proposed deals involving Hinrich for the likes of Carmelo or Elton Brand.
Knowing this why would Chicago want Jameer? The only benefit is he makes less but there going to have to take more salary in the process. There is no way Jameer can do defensively what the Bulls ask of there PGs. Remember because Ben Gordon is pretty much PG size they ask Hinrich to guard SGs. Something they likely ask of Rose as well should they trade Hinrich.
In reality there no way you could trade Hedo for Hinrich. Hedo is this teams second best player. There no way you can trade him for Kirk who is a lesser player. The point is to add Hinrich to what we have not to loose your second best player in the process. The Bulls have no real need for Hedo. Now if they were to loose Deng that could change but they still have Nocioni. I don't see the Bulls putting together a package for Turk.
Draft picks? There no way picks in the 20s can facilitate a trade for Kirk Hinrich. Dang every year there a few teams selling those picks for just cash. The Bulls are already one of the youngest teams in the NBA. If the Bulls trade Hinrich for draft picks there probably going to want atleast a lottery pick in the process.
I'm thinking what can the Magic offer for a straight trade. For example the Sonics could offer Chris Wilcox or Nick Collison. I could see what Denver could offer with the likes of JR Smith, Nene, perhaps even a Camby. I could see what Miami could offer in a straight deal with the likes of Haslem. We can't offer the Bulls a starting level player unless we give them one of our core player or another team gets involved.
