He really should get a copy of his ring made for Otis!

I remember reading somewhere (maybe here) that one of the reasons Otis traded with LA is that was where Trevor really wanted to be as he came out of LA. He played for the Bruins, right?

I'm happy for him... especially if that foot problem is going to resurface, at least he'll retire with some hardware.

let's see...

kobe's the man
i love ariza's game
i like the lakers style of play
i hate the spurs and everyone in that organization (especially bowen)
i hate the pistons b/c of their arrogance (mcdyess/maxiell)
i dislike the celtics b/c of last summers trades (quickfix)

lakers FTWWWWWWW
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

this just means that Ariza's gonna be all about the benjamins from now on. if he's already got a ring, he doesn't have to care about trying to get one in his life time again. [/sarcasm]

I could not think of a single game where Ariza's play effected the outcome of a Lakers game.

Some examples from Ariza's best games:
December 4, 2007 Lakers 116, Timberwolves 95
15 points
(this game was not impacted by Ariza)

December 9, 2007 Warriors 113, Lakers 123
11 points
(this game was marginally impacted by Ariza)

December 25, 2007 Suns 115, Lakers 122
14 points
(this game might have been impacted by Ariza)

December 28, 2007 Jazz 109, Lakers 123
12 points
(this game was impacted by Ariza)

January 4, 2008 76ers 93, Lakers 124
11 points
(this game was not impacted by Ariza)

January 9, 2008 Lakers 109, Hornets 80
10 points
(this game was not impacted by Ariza)

In all other games Ariza lacked a stat line to be considered. Anyhow, after the Laker trade, Ariza maybe (perhaps should be spelt MAYBE) effected one or two games.

thanks for youre in depth breakdown of the games that you feel ariza afected... FACT is he started... would be starting still if he didnt get hurt... so yall can take that what ever way you want... if i was ariza i certainly wouldnt be ashamed to get a ring this way
Summertime and the livin's easy....

why does this matter? who cares...Ariza got traded from the Magic to the Lakers who are in line to have a 50/50 shot at the title...and if they bring him back he will probably have another shot next season, as a contributor...quit with the Darko/Ariza break downs...this thread wasnt about that...

he might get a ring, but it had no part in getting it. he's been injured the majority of the season. so it almost doesn't count, winning a ring injured all year.

Stern determined at the beginning of the year that the finals needed a ratings boost. And what do you know, two of the most storied franchises in the NBA get lopsided trades in their favor, and will end up meeting in the finals. Good job Stern.

disagree. I wouldn't really care too much about winning a ring on a team where I've only played for a couple of weeks, only to go out for a few months and see my new teammates catch fire all of a sudden and steamroll towards the championship while watching from the bench.
.

Bleh. Sour grapes. If I contributed to the team and got injured in the line of duty I'd take my ring and polish it with a smile. Besides tthe lakers haven't played a single game in the finals yet so its premature to say what his contribution will be.

8 months ago this place was jockin the guy, now he's "Darko'ing his way to a ring"

he was traded...he got injured...he's going to the finals...his new team is 10x better than his old team and 100x better than his first team...Phil Jackson is his coach, he's in the triangle, he plays with Kobe and Pau...he wins all around...

I still love you Trev...
