In the past the Pistons did that we think were the better team garbage. You can see where it got them. The only way to improve is to acknowledge failure. Figure out why you failed and improve on your weaknesses.

Didn't Otis say that he was going to make adjustments?

"I really believe we should still be playing now. It's disappointing that we're not," Smith said. "It's just not good enough if you don't win it all. That's the only thing we're here for."

....

"I'm proud of some things, but there have been a lot of lows, too," he said. "There are a lot of things you're kicking yourself for, things you did, or didn't do. It's never good enough if you don't win a championship."

Is that what he said?

LOL.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

They got forensic scientists on the case. These used the most sophisticated software to crack the so-called Mumble Code.

I just got a copy of the original transcript of his statement. This is before it was translated. I contacted a buddy of mine from the National Consulate of the Nation of Mumblenovia and he hooked me up with the official translator from the United Nations.

Long story short ... Otis actually said we should still be PRACTICING today. Apparently it is a common mistake given the several different Mumble dialects.

Having said that I agree with Otis completely.
