? about our starting lineup

Post#1 » by DMannOC » Thu Jun 5, 2008 1:01 am

Since Battie is coming back is he going to be our starting PF or are we still going to start Shard at PF? and if we do start Battie at PF and Shard at SF would hedo come off the bench or would he start at the 2 spot?

No way 'Shard will start at PF. One way or the other, Rashard will be at SF and if Hedo is still around, he will either start at SG or come off as the 6th man.

Otis in some Sentinel articles has hinted at Batman starting alongside Dwight (which I'm no opposed to because he has that jumper, rebounds, and more importantly is a banger).

I completely disagree. I think we will see the same frontcourt as last year, with Battie as the first guy off the bench.

My guess for the S/L:

PG: Jameer
SG: ?
SF: Hedo
PF: Lewis
C: Dwight

Further guesses:
Tony and Marcin big man subs
Evans and Kebo as SG backup - only because I think Dooling will head south.
JWill PG backup

Draft: who knows ...

This leaves us a bit thin at backup SF. Maybe draftee?

It's all up in the air at this point. All depends on the roster at the beginning of the season.

LOL. that was great.

mhec, i like your moxy. i'd be happy with a JWill/Duhon swap, but i'd be happy with JWill FTW. otherwise i dig your lineup. and that doesn't even include draft or MLE (you weren't expecting to drop the MLE on JWill were you?)

The ? @ SG = MLE (Pietrus perhaps)

JWill or Duhon would be fine. Obviously Duhon is a longer term solution. But there were rumors/reports about JWill wanting to come here and would do so for the vet min.

Pietrus has one of the worst basketball IQs in the NBA. I'd rather have CDR, Rush, or Budinger as our SG. They would all fit better on our team, too.

Pietrus for the mle, and JWill for the LLE would be more than fine by me.

I remember hearing that several times during the 06-07 season, but hadn't heard it lately. It would explain why he couldn't get bigger minutes from Nellie.
