well personally I don't think that particular deal will go down, if they didn't want to exchange Kleiza for Artest, why would they trade for Lowry and a #20 pick?

I agree, seems like a stupid trade for the Nuggets. Isnt Lowry more of a combo guard anyway... seems to me like the Nuggets would be more interested in a pass first PG instead of another tweener

Professional Sports and being smart are not always in the same sentence. So who knows to the Nuggets this might seem like a great deal. Plus we honestly don't know what Memphis is offering the Nuggets in the first place. And I have heard of some really crazy trades in the NBA. So known of us will what they have planned until draft night.
Here's crossing your fingers that's all you can do.

Very true... many stupid trades have been committed in recent years, some involving memphis (Pau). Maybe they are thinking that this is how they get paid back lol. I dont think it will happen though, and I hope not.

The one thing that really worries me is this. If Rush and Lee are both gone by 22 i sense a really poor draft for the Magic.

If that's the case, the Magic would need to trade down in the draft.

absolutely not...I just dont think he's a legit #1 choice right now for the organization, I could be 100% wrong...he will still make a nice addition to the team...I believe the idea behind Rush and Lee is that they will be instant contributors who have the ability to provide great offense (Lee's might just be sweltering) and upper level defense on the NBA level today...

From Draftexpress

The safest pick amongst players being projected to go from 13-19 is likely Brandon Rush. He could seemingly be picked by any of those teams, and be able to find a way to be productive thanks to his size, shooting ability and defensive skills.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

that seems to be one of the more constants in this draft as of now, Rush going >20...to be honest, several months back and even 3-4 weeks ago I thought it was odd that mocks had him going in the mid-late 20's...

True, so do you think this kid can step in right away and start for us Thief?

If Lee, CDR, and Rush are all gone, what about Shan Foster or Gary Forbes in round 2?

Well, I am slightly worried that Rush and Lee will not be at 22...

I also am shying away from Speights, and I think teams will too..He very well could drop to the second round with the attitude problems and immaturity...

If at #22 Rush,Lee, Donte Green,Javale Mcgee are gone, we may as well trade down with Seattle...

#22,Cash

For

#24,#36

#24-CDR,#36-Dorsey ( Chemistry )

and hope we can Get Minnies #31 for Bogans

#31-Chalmers

That'd still be a solid draft, even though we don't get our MAIN targets in the first.

Nelson/J.Will/Chalmers
Maggs*/JJ/CDR
Lewis/Evans
Hedo/Cook/Dorsey
Howard/Battie/Gortat

(*-I still think Maggz would rather play for us, and I truly don't feel a team will even worry about doing a S&T for him...)

I would love to get Shan in the second round. The kid scores 9 straight three pointers and totals 42 in a game? That is not by accident and can't be a fluke. Its a Michael Jordan performance on the college level, and Michael never even had a game like that in college. He's not short like JJ either at 6-6. I don't know why he's falling off the draft boards, but he would be a solid pick imo.

Going into panic mode even before the draft doesn't make sense of course we are talking about Otis Smith that's a good reason to panic.
The are still big men available that you haven't mentioned like Jason Thompson and maybe Robin Lopez drops (I doubt that, but who knows) what I am saying instead of getting rid of the first round pick draft the BPA. It still sounds like the Magic have bought either Portland or Seattle's second round draft pick.
More and more likely it may be Portland because they want more veteran talent as they are awash in young talent.

Cougar, it's not panic mode, but there have been reports about Rush being pick before us (Which is now pretty much certain) and Lee is beloved by a few teams, one of which is trying to move up and get him. If that is obviously the case, then why not trade down, and pick up 2 picks for one? I mean dropping 2 spots and being able to still pick up our third option in CDR, plus being able to get Dorsey/White/Hendrix/Thompson/Etc. is absolutely a good move.

But I still have high hopes that Lee will be there and we pick up 1-2 seconds or a late first and get the players this team needs..But hey, who knows right?

BTW: I still don't get your obsession with Lopez, he is going to be an NBA journey man, who will be signed to Min contracts his entire career to complete a 15th spot on a roster.. But, opinion is opinion, and we all have our own.

You know DeAndre Jordan might Slip all the way down too us. Seriously

I would really consider him. Since we are playing a small line-up right now. And think about it. Dwight and DeAndre in the front court gettin rebounds and gettin points at the rim.

Rush is gettin higher on the ranks. I don't think we might get him.

But CDR is still there.

Dwight and Dwight-lite would be a great frontcourt. This kids potential is off the charts, but he's still young and has some developing to do. I think it would be an awesome pick, and really hope we aren't locked in on a sg no matter what happens during the draft.

Man I'm mad about Rush not going to be available. He's my guy now. I am not sold on Lee at all. And again it's his size. That seemed to be our problem in our back-court defensively. And we are drafting another 6'5 guard? Doesn't seem the way to go.
