The last thing this team needs is LESS defense on the court.

Ricky is a good scorer, but this team has plenty of scorers.

I wouldn't want him on the team . Since we drafted Lee I don't see a need for him anyway

davis is one of those players who could really blow up, or just really blow up.

i'm all for bringing him in for the right price.

he'd be the best natural 2-guard we've had on this team since we traded cuttino mobley.

As a comparison over the last years:
2001/02 the Magic played T-Mac at the SG slot; 25/5/8
2002/03 the Magic played T-Mac at the SG slot; 32/5/6
2003/04 the Magic split starting time between Stevenson, Giricek, and Bogans;
. 11/2/3, 10/2/3, and 7/1/4, respectively
2004/05 the Magic split starting time between Mobley, Stevenson, and Christie;
. 16/2/2, 8/1/2, and 6/2/2, respectively
2005/06 the Magic played Stevenson at the SG slot; 11/2/3
2006/07 the Magic played Hill at the SG slot; 14/2/3
2007/08 the Magic split starting time between Bogans and Evans; 9/1/3 and 9/1/3

So, Hill was adequate at the SG slot in 2006/07, but he was clearly out of position. As an aside, T-Mac was also out of position. Stevenson in 2005/06 was the last natural SG the Magic focused on. Ron Mercer in 1999/00 was the previous quality SG for the Magic.

Look at the 1999/00 HnH team, Ricky Davis can be the same talent as Ron Mercer.
