I think the only way the Magic can get Magtte is through a sign and trade option, in which they have to overpay(or in comparison to Lewis, underpay) for his services, starting salary of over 10 mil minimum.
Honestly, Lewis is a better player than Maggette overpaid or not. Yeah Lewis got lucky last year b/c he was the best FA on the market unlike Maggette this year. But still this offseason he would have gotten better offers than the MLE. You don't think GS would have paid him a lot? He would fit perfectly into their style of play. Lewis probably would have gotten about what Baron Davis did (5 yr/65 mil). I understand some people what Maggette but Lewis is a better player.
