What are your thoughts on him? Not saying we will get him or anything. But he just put a deadline on his contract
Do u see him as a all star, super star, or role player
I really like him and would like him but he's a sf and we dont have a need for him

Fringe all-star who will be drastically overpaid for his services. I like Deng, but he won't be worth the money he's going to make (11M/year at abs. minimum). I'd put him on the same level as Iguodala.

Great player but not a superstar. Not someone to build a team around. Just a 2nd or 3rd solid piece. I'd rather have him than Ben Gordon though.

Ya i agree he is more valuable then Ben Gordon
And i was thinking like one of those guys that is needed on a team but not to build one around. Like.. Prince maybe or Posey who has been popular lately. A great role player who kinda does everything

Do u think he gets a contract done with Chicago?

I see Deng as a Lamar Odom type player. Not good enough to be a solid #2 option, but a great #3 option on a championship-caliber team. He can step up and have dominant games, but not the one to rely on. He does a little bit of everything from offense, to defense, to the intagibles. Good player, but not worth the money he will get.

I prefer him over our SF/PF who sucks and makes money like Kobe. 11 for Luol > 20 for $hard.

yeah yeah... what's done is done.

Luol is nice, but at 12 million, he clearly isn't... but at 7 as 3rd option he would be great.

the last two seasons he has averaged 18pts, 6.7reb, 2.5asst...he could be a legit #2, i dont see him as franchise player or anything like that, but hes putting up good numbers at the age of 23..

Yeah hes a #3 on a championship team or a 2 on a playoff team. Definitly not a #1.

I see what you mean about same level as Iggy, but I think Iguodala is a better player, mainly because he can play the point.

I see him as a little less than an All Star but still a guy who can get some good numbers and be a key player on a good team.

He's a cusp all-star, he needs to continue to improve his jump shot and work on his defense, I would like to see more team fluidity from him him as well, it might just be his situation with the Bulls, but often times he looks like he's playing solo...Overall he's getting there, he's a hard worker and loves the game from what I can tell, has a mean streak...Before it comes up, I'd take him if we didn't already have Rashard Lewis, obviously our bargaining chip would be Hedo in any bigger name trade so if we were looking to acquire him it would obviously be Hedo we were discussing. Deng may be the better player in many aspects, not to mention younger, but Hedo is better for us in this situation and overall Hedo is the more versatile player I believe...
