You know what's really funny, but the people at O-Zone are going crazy over HoopsWorld ball junkie their inside source seems to believe everything that Kyler posts is the real deal so the JC rumor has become a feeding frenzy at that forum. So far 7 pages of posts because of HoopsWorld and ball junkie saying it's the real deal.

IMO I think the Magic have a better chance of getting Quinn then they ever had getting JC if they actually wanted him in the first place which I don't believe ever happened either just HoopsWorld trying to cause a buzz.

Jst to make sure: even Steve Kyler didn't suggest that in his article. He just said the team has explored (which is different than "is exploring) options, one of which was this trade.

Too bad it didn't explain why it fell through though, that would've been a lot more interesting. Can't have it all I guess.

Seems to me that the real news here is in the wording of the denial. Wallace specifically rubbishes the Fran talk, but not the JC talk...

Oh, I totally believe that the Magic are trying to figure out a way to get Crittenton. Did you read that Memphis Commercial Appeal story about someone approaching the Grizzlies' GM about a player during the summer league.? Kyle Hightower had something about it on his Sentinel blog. I am convinced that was Otis just because of the way it was worded. I just don't think they have been able to reach a deal with the Grizzlies because, after giving away Pau for nothing, they apparently are asking the moon for their fourth point guard (go figure).

Perhaps Cornstein threw out the idea of dealing for Fran's rights since I'm sure he would like nothing better than to get his client out of the clutches of the Magic's control after what happened with Darko. And maybe he figures that since he already has one client with the Grizzlies, that he could work on getting another one there. That part is pure speculation. The first part is an educated guess.
